Historia
What does everyone in the modern world need to know? Renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research. Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.

I honestly can’t tell whether I like this book
Revisado: 02-22-23
While I, for the most part agree, with every rule, he states, the logic by which he arrives at them is tenuous at best. I found myself going, along with his train of thought, until, invariably, he would take a hard right turn. (and I do mean “right“ in the context of, a political understanding) then, he would return to his normal train at five as if the time spent “on the right“ never happened, nor does he give an adequate explanation or cause for his thought at that moment. It was confusing. But, all in all, the lessons are valuable

Historia
As one of the music world’s most iconic artists and the cofounder of the organizations ONE and (RED), Bono’s career has been written about extensively. But in Surrender, it’s Bono who picks up the pen, writing for the first time about his remarkable life and those he has shared it with. In his unique voice, Bono takes us from his early days growing up in Dublin, including the sudden loss of his mother when he was fourteen, to U2’s unlikely journey to become one of the world’s most influential rock bands, to his more than twenty years of activism.

A great book. An even better performance
Revisado: 11-23-22
Bono’s story is compelling, but his delivery is beautiful and moving. You can’t say that about all authors reading their own words. This bill is definitely worth your time, especially if you’re a fan of his music and charitable works.

In this book, President Kennedy tells us what immigrants have done for America, and what America has done for its immigrants. It is one of the dramatic success stories of world history.... It can stand as a testament to a cause President Kennedy cherished, and which we should carry on.

Wonderful words, Badly Read
Revisado: 03-18-20
This book is fantastic in it's telling of the value of immigrants to the United States, but the voiceover is KILLING ME. It's disjointed as if it's the first time the reader is reading the material. I find myself focusing more on the pacing and strangeness of the read than on the content itself.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.
