Depressing end!
Revisado: 11-19-23
A sad choice of concluding the series. In the effort to tie into a the TV series they lost the whole plot of Star Trek. This book is very slow, too long, and its resolution is not a harmonious chord, but more like death punk.

Revisado: 05-23-23
The story is not enjoyable. The characters are not memorable. The villains are cartoon characters in masks. The production and narrator is top notch.

An authentic Christian’s Journey
Revisado: 04-28-23
Steve shares one man’s authentic journey in following Jesus. He shares how his life was shaped, challenged, and lead by a faithful Heavenly Father. A great book for any disciple that is dealing with doubt or discouragement. An important read for those entering 8th ministry. A devotional book that allows the listener to hear God’s word and meditate on the big things of life. Steve’s tone is conversational, approachable, and honest. I was glad I listened to the book and look forward to sharing it with others. The narrator does a great job.

The story is so boring. I keep trying to get into it, but it’s just not interesting. The characters lack anything to make me keep listening. Narrator is solid, but doesn’t have much to work with.

Historia
From 1914 to 1916, Ernest Shackleton and his men survived the wreck of their ship Endurance, crushed in the Antarctic ice, stranded 1,200 miles from civilization with no means of communication and no hope for rescue. When the ice began to break up, Shackleton set out to save them all on his heroic 800-mile-trip across the frigid South Atlantic, in little more than a rowboat.

Historia
Why is profitable growth so hard to achieve and sustain? Most executives manage their companies as if the solution to that problem lies in the external environment - find an attractive market, formulate the right strategy, win new customers. But when Bain & Company's Chris Zook and James Allen (authors of the best-selling Profit from the Core) researched this question, they found that when companies fail to achieve their growth targets, 90 percent of the time the root causes are internal, not external.

Inspiration for Leaders
Revisado: 05-15-19
This audiobook is full of stories, examples, and data of companies and leadership teams that have turned stagnant companies around by returning to the founders principles and learning how to use scale and insurgency together to outpace the competition.
As someone in the non profit sector I still found much to like about the examples selected and the points they illustrated.
At times the listening can drone on a little long in places. Perhaps a little more self editing by the authors would have been helpful for the listener.

Great Story, Rich Character Development, and Fun
Revisado: 04-06-17
This was more than just a backstory for Rogue One. It was a great story and had wonderful character development of some lesser known characters of the Rogue One storyline.
It certainly leaves open the possibility for more novels from this time period, but feels like a complete story.
The addition of sound effects from the Star Wars universe adds a delightful layer to the story making it feel like a holo movie for the mind.

Challenging Call For Communicators
Revisado: 01-25-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Communicating for a Change to be better than the print version?
This is a great example of the power of an audio book. The narrarator excells at telling the begining chapters as it is mostly dialogue between characters. I found myself laughign outloud at his interpreation of the characters.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the opening story that provided the listener to be drawn into the character's dilemma. It made the more technical sections more interesting and fun to read as you related the material back to the opening story.
Have you listened to any of Lloyd James’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Lloyd James is spot on as always!
Any additional comments?
Every communicator would be wise to listen to this tale and apply what they learn.
