It’s not a formal history in the authors own words. It is concise and well written.

There is nothing I didn’t like about this book. Except that it ended. It wraps up nicely at the end. If you are considering keeping a journal or notebook this will certainly motivate you to do so. If you are already doing so you will keep doing so.

Challenging reading.
Revisado: 09-26-23
These are great narrations to follow along with the actual writings. I personally find Emerson challenging to read alone so it is nice to find narrations, and good narrations I might add. They have made it possible for me to appreciate Emerson on a level I never would have otherwise. I recommend these for anyone who is challenged by these books, it has truly opened new worlds for me.

Historia
Bradbury's Mars is a place of hope, dreams, and metaphor - of crystal pillars and fossil seas - where a fine dust settles on the great, empty cities of a silently destroyed civilization. It is here the invaders have come to despoil and commercialize, to grow and to learn - first a trickle, then a torrent, rushing from a world with no future toward a promise of tomorrow. The Earthman conquers Mars...and then is conquered by it, lulled by dangerous lies of comfort and familiarity, and enchanted by the lingering glamour of an ancient, mysterious native race.

Such quaint stories
Revisado: 09-16-23
This is my first foray into Bradbury I really like his story telling. It almost reads like poetry in my mind. I think anyone could enjoy this story. So we’ll written and follow the, all but one story. For some reason it’s missing on the audio recording but is in the original book. It’s still worth the purchase. The narrator is really good as well. Highly recommend.

Historia
Profoundly poetic yet gloriously accessible, this is the best way to experience a work that has remained a centerpiece of Western civilization for 2,000 years. Fitzgerald's rendering speaks directly to the modern listener, inviting us to share the excitement, adventure, and human tears as Aeneas, the warrior hero, escapes from the burning city of Troy, embarks on a long and perilous journey, and eventually, triumphantly establishes a new nation: Rome.

Missing sections
Revisado: 12-27-22
First this review is not about the narrator or the translation or the actual story. I am disappointed that the description is not clear that it is missing whole sections.
I own a copy of this very translation in hardcover and I like to follow along with the narration. This does not match. It is missing whole chunks of the story. I would not have used a credit had I known. Descriptions need to be more clear! Very disappointed.

Historia
By now, the low-carb diet's refrain is a familiar one: "Bread is bad for you. Fat doesn't matter. Carbs are the real reason you can't lose weight. In The Low-Carb Fraud, longtime leader in the nutritional science field T. Colin Campbell outlines where and how the low-carb proponents get it wrong: Where the belief came from that carbohydrates are bad and why it persists despite all the evidence to the contrary. The foods we misleadingly refer to as "carbs" aren't all created equal, and treating them that way has major consequences for our nutritional well-being.

Did I read the same back as those with a negative view?
Revisado: 03-26-21
This is the third book By Dr. Campbell I’ve read.
His work is renowned. I find him reasonable and eloquent in his writings as well as his on screen interview.People mention how he “trash” talks Gary Taubes? I don’t get it. Do people know what trash talk is? Or what one sided argumentation is? If you have read any of his printed books you will see his long involvement in this subject matter. And how easily his references are to fact check. I’m not a vegan. But I find his books on nutritional health to be on some of the most revealing and authentic. The narrator could maybe be more “lively” but for the subject matter I believe he works. Great book!
