Love This Series!
Revisado: 02-02-18
Halley Hansen and her ex-hubby, former SEAL Morgan Hansen, have both grown a lot since their divorce. Halley’s career as a motivational speaker has unexpectedly thrown Halley and Morgan back together again. Morgan now works security for black ops missions. When he discovers there’s a connection between Halley and a terrorist organization, Morgan finds he must do all he can to protect Halley.
I really like author Sharon Hamilton’s Sleeper SEALs series. The heroes are somewhat flawed, less than perfect, and I like that. The problems that they overcome are so much more realistic to me and I always root for the underdog.
Narrator JD Hart is flawless as usual in this audiobook that comes in a just over 6 hours. JD Hart nailed the emotion that this story evoked. I listened to this story in one sitting and still it was over much too quickly.

But fate had another unexpected meeting in store for them - this time in a place where danger was part of the culture and the stakes were life and death. The last person in the world Michael "Rad" Radcliff expected to see at a special ops briefing in Afghanistan is the girl he met at the beach two weeks ago - the one he can't stop thinking about.

Fantastic Listen!
Revisado: 01-21-18
Lauren Cantrell thinks she is going to spend a quiet day at the beach, until Michael “Rad” Radcliff, a special ops officer who’s taking a much-needed break, comes along and shows her the time of her life all in one fateful day and night. Neither really knows anything about each other, but Rad is certain he’s found his soul mate. Lauren is a little more reticent certain that their romance was for one night only. When they meet again at a special ops briefing, danger and intrigue may bring their unexpected romance to an end.
One of my favorite sub-genre is military romance and this audiobook, which clocks in at just over 8 ½ hours is the best I’ve heard in quite awhile! It’s an intense listen and the violence is fairly graphic, but to me, it made the story all that more realistic.
Narrator Stella Bloom does an excellent job in this fully voiced production and does an amazing turn at voicing Rad.
I hope author Jessica James has more military romance to pen. She knows how to mix the perfect blend of romance and adventure.

She Suffers
Revisado: 01-14-18
Well, as I stated in my review of book one of this series, I could forgive the heroine Kate Mitchell, if she suffered for her sins, and suffer she did in Shelf Life the second book in the series. Still, I wasn’t happy with her choices but author Christina George sure knows how to spin an entertaining tale. I was fully engaged in this nearly 8 ½ hour audiobook and wondering how it was going to all end. I can’t wait for Ms. George’s next story!

Historia
As a publicist with a large, respected New York publishing house, Kate finds herself at the mercy of a broken publishing system, books that don’t sell, and author egos that are often, well, as big as the island of Manhattan. Enter the star editor, MacDermott Ellis: Tall, handsome, charismatic, married, and ready to save the day. Then there's Allan Lavigne, once a revered author - now as forgotten as last year's best sellers and his nephew Nick: Tall, gorgeous, sweet, single, and ready to sweep Kate off her feet.

Doomed Relationship
Revisado: 01-14-18
Publicist Kate Mitchell is climbing the corporate ladder, too bad she’s also climbing married editor MacDermott Ellis! Kate goes into this doomed relationship with both eyes wide open, so it’s hard to feel sorry for her when her inevitable house of cards comes falling down. I loved the telling of this story even though the blatant infidelity bothers me. I will be listening to the second book in this series to see if Kate has suffered enough for me to forgive her. The jury is out.
Narrator Lisa Cordileone does a good job on the fully voice production of this audiobook. This is my first listen to her as a narrator and I look forward to hearing more from her.

Historia
There’s a thin line between hate and tolerance, and it seems to sit squarely between us. Lola Bell could easily bring an army of men to their knees, as long as she never opened her mouth. She’s soft in too many ways. A people-pleaser who goes the extra mile. Some might call her an easy target. In short, she has all of the qualities that I despise. But when it comes to me, she doesn’t hesitate to fling her poison arrows my way. She has every right to her feelings. Over the years, I’ve given her plenty of ammo. Yeah, I hate Lola. But it doesn’t stop me from wanting her too. When she makes me a proposition I can’t refuse, there’s just one problem.

A Lighter Tale
Revisado: 01-14-18
It’s the typical hate to love romance. What I enjoyed best about the story, the hero wasn’t a complete tool so I found myself rooting for them to get together. This story is not nearly as dark as many of author A Zavarelli’s books and that was a refreshing surprise.
What really makes this story stand out is the dual narration by Tracy Marks and Aaron Shedlock. They make a wonderful team and their narrating style compliment each other and help put this nearly eight-hour audiobook solidly in the four star category.

I’ve always been the person that does whatever someone tells me I can’t. Can’t graduate with a four-point-oh? Check. Can’t win a modeling contract without trying? Did it. Check. Can’t make it in the pro football league? Triple check with an MVP Award on top. When my best friend told me to stay away from his little sister, Layla, it didn’t sound like a challenge. Then again, I’d never seen her before. He obviously wasn’t thinking about who he was talking to if he believed I could ignore her.

Sports Romance At Its Best!
Revisado: 12-11-17
Layla James is no wilting flower. She’s aggressive and goes after what she wants and what she wants is Branch her brother’s roommate and teammate. Layla’s brother Finn has made it clear that his sister, who is just drifting through life, is off limits. Branch is no match against the feminine wiles of Layla and she has an ace up her sleeve. She understands Branch like no one else ever has and when a devastating secret is uncovered Layla is the only one Branch can depend on.
Sports romances aren’t my favorite sub-genre so when I come across one that I like you know it’s something special and Lucky Number Eleven by author Adriana Locke is just that! Its heroine is refreshingly different.
This audiobook, which comes in at just over 7 hours is a duet narration by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. This duo is the gold standard on how duet narrations should be done. They are undoubtedly the best out there in the romance genre.

He's A Beast
Revisado: 12-11-17
Savage is a dark romance/fairy tale that takes place in Scotland. Brochan is a handsome but brooding tormented soul. It’s sort of a take-off of the Beauty and the Beast theme and it’s a well-told story. LA Foire is one of my favorite romance authors and she doesn’t disappoint in this endeavor. I absolutely loved the narration by Aaron Shedlock and thought he did an awesome job with the Scottish brogue, it was hawt!

Navy SEAL Derek Farley is struggling to create a new life after an injury sidelines his naval career and Remington Bolt sidelines their relationship. Though Derek is damaged goods, he’s also determined to fix his life with a little help from his friends.
I’m always a pushover for a wounded warrior story. This short but intense story was filled with emotion, feelings of betrayal and redemption. Amazing how you can fit all that in just a little over two hours! Author Sharon Hamilton is genius and narrator JD Hart brings it all together.

My Favorite In The Series!
Revisado: 11-22-17
I’ve listened to every audiobook in the Alexander Ranch series. This story is the fifth in the series and centers on Jordan’s brother Ethan. For me this book is the best in this fantastic series. When Sasha and Ethan team up with the rest of the Alexander gang to solve a mystery, sparks fly between the two. Sasha is every bit the independent woman just like Jordan’s prickly girlfriend Lela, but Ethan has watched the lessons learned the hard way by his brother and he is determined to avoid the pitfalls.
I enjoyed the banter between Ethan and Sasha and I got a kick out of how Ethan approached Sasha’s independent nature and diffusing her temper.
DC Cole narrates this audiobook which is 4 ½ hours long and he’s is one of my favorites. He does a wonderful job voicing all of the characters in this audiobook.

Scary Good!
Revisado: 11-03-17
Sam Aston, a marine biologist, desperately needs a big paycheck to clear his gambling debts. When a billionaire in search of a mysterious and deadly deep sea monster comes calling, Sam sees a way out of his problems. He couldn’t possibly be more wrong!
Primordial is horror, sci-fi and Indiana Jones all rolled up into one! It’s one exciting story from the first paragraph. Trust me when I say the human monsters in this story are every bit as frightening as the prehistoric one!
Jeffrey Kafer is one of my favorite narrators of the sci-fi/horror genre and he does an amazing job on this audiobook which clocks in at just over 8 hours. Authors David Wood and Alan Baxter penned a fantastic story and the ending leaves an opening for more adventures from Sam Aston!
