Story and narrator meet with perfection

Any story is made better by the perfect narrator. This phenomenal narrator delivered the emotion, drama, intensity, and heart this extremely well written historical fiction deserved.
When new monarch Elizabeth is handed her mother’s, Anne Boleyn’s, diary past and present merge. Two young women meet if only through the pages of Anne’s words.
Phenomenal storytelling and world building.

Not expected, but fantastic

This isn’t the story I expected from the author of The Passage series. Quite a difference in feel and storytelling.
Creative world building, complete characters and multiple twists and turns. A complete drama, in the best sense of the word.

Love the Bobverse!

Needed a break from reality and decided to enjoy a romantic romp through the Highlands. This audiobook hit the spot!
Brave decision to have domestic violence as a backstory for the heroine. Handled with grace and dignity. Very much enjoyed seeing her come into her own and redevelop her sense of self-worth.
Swoon-worthy hero and well developed secondary characters.
The hero/heroine introduction was unique and quite creative.
While parts of the book were predictable, most were unique in their approach. The ending was the redemption I'd hoped to see.

wrong narrator

This is the wrong narrator for this story. His voice is not appropriate for young characters. While I wanted to get lost in the listen, his voice kept that from happening.
Story is creative. I read the other 2 books in the series and enjoyed the fiction immensely.
Seriously, don't listen to this story - read it

I downloaded this based on the other reviews after listening to The Singularity Trap. This is just great listening fun. Quirky humor with enough science-based factoids to be super entertaining. Love the Bobs. Narrator is brilliant! Looking forward to Bob-verse #2

Simply adore this series!! This book continues to deliver with outstanding story development, unique characters and enough humor to keep me listening long after my drive has ended.
The narrator deserves more than 5 stars. She is fabulous and brings each character to life. Highly anticipating the next in the series

Where does You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This may be one of the best stories I have ever listened to. Writing from the perspective of the stalker was brilliant and unique. Though I am worried that I wanted him to succeed and understood where he was coming from. Such creative story telling!

What was one of the most memorable moments of You?

Joe (more correctly the author) describes a great book as a lover that entices you and draws you in, which is exactly what this book did to me. I could have followed Joe and crept into his head for the rest of his life.

What does Santino Fontana bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator brought Joe to life. His voice captured the essence of the main character and the others with sheer brilliance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed at Joe's wit and felt his pain. His point of view, while disturbing, made perfect sense. His joy and heartache were so real and vivid.

Any additional comments?

A unique story with twists and turns you could never anticipate. I loved every disturbing moment.
