Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Uninteresting
Revisado: 11-08-24
Guess I’m done with the Bobiverse. It was an effort to finish because I was not interested in any of the subplots or characters. To many stories, zero character development, the corny jokes lost their charm, etc…

Creative and Entertaining
Revisado: 06-15-23
This future view of the human race is original and very different than most SF books which makes them very interesting and fun. Since these books are so different they can be confusing but the concepts are true and consistent. I must say that I really enjoyed them. I highly recommend this series.

Get sick of kale dying.
Revisado: 04-24-22
It seems that Kale the hero of the book dies about every other chapter. At this point I know he’s going to die and I know he’s going to get resurrected. And the same goes for his wife.

Poisoned
Revisado: 03-04-22
This story was completely poisoned to me because of the idiot Gideon Thorn. A powerful dragon and rider were turned to evil by magic and Gideon refused to play hardball with them. These two burned city after city, destroyed all the mages in the school, killed most of dragons and their riders, and thousands upon thousands of humans. And there was Gideon saying, “don’t kill them, they know not what they do!”
Gideon was an idiot and should have been displaced on day one. When the heroes of a story are stupid beyond belief you start rooting for the orcs.

Historia
The scales have tipped. The battle for Namdhor, the north, and the entire realm of man was a sure victory for the orcs. But they lost. Now, under the rule of a would-be-king, the armies of man fuel the war when they should be bolstering their defenses. Only a few understand that time is against them, yet these few must fight alone if the dawn is to rise over Illian once more. The heroes of the realm have banded together, but they cannot fight side by side. There is only one way they can win, seen by the oldest dragon and preserved inside the broken mind of a ranger.

Giddian ruins the story
Revisado: 02-15-22
A lot of this story focuses in giddian. However everyone acts like he is a hero even after he makes stupid decisions over and over. He is just not a leader. He is mentally weak and without his sword he is physically weak.
This is proved at the end when a new age is starting and he decides to not help shape it for good but abandoned everyone by taking dragorn away for training. What a pussy. He needs to die for next book.

You have to learn to like these books. Thanks
Revisado: 02-15-22
One of the keys to enjoying these rather mediocre books is learning to ignore the endless story inconsistencies and to never look too hard at either the plot or the characters motivations. Just take things as they come and don't question. At first the inconsistencies were driving me crazy. For instance, they would walk for miles immediately followed by they walked just over an hour, or two gold pieces would be two years pay and then on the next page two gold pieces won't buy two weeks worth of food. These types of inconsistencies are endless and go on and on. So just ignore them. Or try?
Then there are the weird plot holes. My favorite so far was when they were trying to get the main character to kill his friends. They said, "You kill them and if you don't then I will!". When the main character refused the bad guys killed his friends. That just seemed weird. Additional fun items include: the all powerful master wizard who has yet to effectively do anything and the friendly and loving ageless assassin who only kills people for money. I must also say there are a million characters to keep track of but that is part of the messiness of these books in general.
Lets just say that everything about these books is messy, including the dialogue. But I am enjoying them...kind of. I might buy the third one but don't want to commit right now.

Historia
Androids used to mingle among us, pretending to be human. Then an alien puppet-master altered their programming. Unknown to us, androids began leaving human society, burning their clothes and peeling off their skin to reveal the chrome-colored bodies underneath. They gathered in a system were a star had exploded, blowing away the atmosphere of a Jupiter-like planet. The supernova had hurled heavy metals against the remaining core. The androids are mining supermetals that can turn ordinary ship weapons and shields into invincible armaments.

Wonderfully childish and Action Packed

These are all simple stories and the aliens are all "superior" and above us apes. But they are action packed and fun. Like watching a TV show you really like but always know whats going to happen in the end.

Slow and Plodding Plot
Revisado: 03-19-20
I won't be listening to anymore of these. Mainly it is how slow the plot moves. The books are short at only 10 hours so when you combine that with a slow moving plot nothing seems to happen. Slow plots are fine with a book that goes 25-30 hours but not here. It is almost like you have only read a chapter then you have to buy the next chapter.
Other problems is that the magic is lame and seems almost useless. In fact the boys learn the basic in a night, then go to magic school for three years and really don't know anything additional. And that is not an exaggeration.
All in all, this is a series to skip.

Historia
Those on the side of progressing humanity through advanced technology have finally triumphed over their oppressors. The unholy war between the small but mighty island realm of Charis and the radical, luddite Church of God's Awaiting has come to an end. However, even though a provisional veil of peace has fallen over human colonies, the quiet will not last. For Safehold is a broken world, and as international alliances shift and Charis charges on with its precarious mission of global industrialization, the shifting plates of the new world order are bound to clash.

Two part review
Revisado: 02-14-20
This review will be in two parts. Right now I am half way through and am bored to tears. It is getting painful listening to it. And it is not the narrator. With the defeat of the Church of God Awaiting there is no real protagonist. There is no real suspense. Plus the story deals with Harchong and all the names are new and confusing.
I am ready for the story to progress to the next level which is the battle against the aliens. After writing this review I will give the story one more try but first I am going to skip a couple hours. Lets see how it goes.
Part II, I tried. It was boring and did not get any better. I did fast forward to the very last 20 minutes. It has a surprise. I might by the next one.
