I’ve been a fan of Vivica since “Out All Night” with Patti LaBelle. And, I really loved getting to know more of her story. She tells her story with class and grace but still remains down to earth and extremely relatable. In addition, and unexpectedly, she provides career advice that can be applied to any career.

I purchased the audible version and later purchased the Kindle version so that I can bookmark key sections where she provides advice that is extremely helpful.

Talent and Attitude Always Wins!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Some of the stories of her growing up were difficult to hear at times due to her mother’s mental illness. However, seeing how Tiffany rebounded from her person tragedies, with the warmth and a positive personality is the true gift. I’ve followed Tiffany for years and have loved her style of comedy. I’m grateful that the producers of “Girls Trip” had the foresight to book her and give her the opportunities that she deserves. Now the rest of the world can see what some of us have enjoyed for some time. She ready!!!

What made the experience of listening to Girling Up the most enjoyable?

Mayim narrates in an easy breezy manner that is enjoyable and informative.

What about Mayim Bialik’s performance did you like?

She comes off as very down to earth which is welcoming

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like how she explained everything including transgender. She spoke with knowledge and respect. I like how she stated the facts honestly and openly without providing an opinion as to her beliefs.

Any additional comments?

I love Mayim's character on The Big Bang Theory and the fact that she portrays exactly what she is. I also subscribe to her YouTube channel and have come to think of her as the friend in my head since I'm in a traditionally all male field (software engineer) and feels as though I can relate. She is inspiring and so is this book. I would recommend to all girls and women.

Great Story!!!

I've always admired Taraji's work but after listening to her life story, my respect for her is now at 200%. Her drive and motivation for craft along with a strong upbringing is uplifting.

She is an inspiration to women young and old.

Good Re-Start of the Series

I'm glad that we got another Merry book. If Laurell decided to end the series, this would be the proper ending but I would love to read about the babies growing into their powers, etc.

Need More Backstory on Nova

I love the breed series and this one was no different. The only issue that I had was that I need more information on Nova. Or at least promise to finish her backstory in a future novel. Most breed females don't know who they are but she does. She also has a breed father. Where did she come from? These are the questions that I'm left with after finishing this book.

Would you listen to Lover at Last again? Why?

Absolutely! I find that each time I listen to a book, I discover things that I missed the first time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Zsadist. I believe that of all the brothers, he has the biggest heart.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Quinn landed the plane and was so focused on saving Zsadist's life for his shellan and his young.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Satisfactory Ending

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have heard quite a bit about the displeasure that many readers had for this book. However, to me, it was just about perfect!

SPOILER ALERT...

During a book signing several years ago, Charlaine Harris was asked if Sookie would ever become a vampire and she said that she would not. That was never the intention for her.

Thus, I knew that the relationship with Eric would have to end. And, I like how it ended. Personally, I preferred Sookie dating Bill or Quinn. But alas, finding love with your very best friend is indeed the very best kind of ending.

Also, I liked how she provided a finality to the main characters. Eric living a wonderful after life as a consort; Bill finding romance, maybe, with Karen; Jason married, etc.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Bill Compton because I like the idea of a southern gentleman and vampire. Also, the actor, Stephen Moyer, on the series True Blood is ah... HOT.

Have you listened to any of Johanna Parker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to all of the Sookie books and I enjoy Johanna's voice characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The same as the book, "Dead Ever After"

Great Insight on the Character

This book provided much insight into how Dragon Lankford came to be and the authors told his story quite beautifically. My only criticism is that I wanted more back stories on all of the professors in the series. Which isn't a criticism at all but a compliment to the authors. And a hint for more novellas...
