Historia
For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

Would you listen to Whiskey Beach again? Why?
I have already listened to it 3 times. Even knowing the ending, The way the story twists and turns makes me want to listen again and again!
What did you like best about this story?
The love story between Abra and Eli.
Which character – as performed by Peter Berkrot – was your favorite?
Hester - Grandmother to Eli.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wish I could have listened in one sitting. Listened to some at work - hated it when someone would ask a question and I had to pause the book.

He said - she said
Revisado: 05-24-12
Would you try another book from Victoria Laurie and/or Eileen Stevens?
I am a big fan of Victoria Laurie - I have read all her Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye and I am now starting on the Ghoul's series. Love the story line and the plots are great.
Any additional comments?
It seems that "he said" or "she said" are used way too often. Even when the person is asking a question, the sentence ends with said. It will be awhile before I re-listen to this series. Maybe Miss Laurie needs a thesaurus?

Good story - a little redunasnt
Revisado: 05-24-12
What made the experience of listening to Vision Impossible the most enjoyable?
I really liked the story. A little involved however if you follow it closely - it does keep in guessing on how it will end.
Any additional comments?
I think the word "fiance'" may have been used too much. I know Abby must have been thrilled to be engaged but it seemed like towards the end she was telling everyone Dutch was her fiance'.

Historia
Being married to Blake had been an amazing adventure for Maxine. For five years, they've worked out an odd but amicable divorce, with friendly though infrequent visits, a yacht he lends her every summer, and three children they both adore. Now Maxine has fallen in love with Dr. Charles West, a man who is everything Blake is not - mature, grounded, and present. But Blake wants her back in his life.

Danielle Steel does it again!
Revisado: 08-25-08
I cried, I laughed and I groaned but couldn't put it down and can't wait to listen to it again. Wasn't sure at first if I would like it but I have always enjoyed Danielle steels books in the past so I thought what the heck - give it a try. Blake seemed a little unreal at first but I'm sure there are men out there like him - Maxine was very real and you could feel her pain and her joy. Story has a predictable ending and even knowing that, I really liked it. (I always like happy endings.) Enjoy!

Wonderful!
Revisado: 12-20-07
If you like wizardry and romance this will make for very interesting "reading". Have read is at least 6-7 times. The reader makes everyone become real and even after reading it so many times, I'm still enchanted with it. Set in the 1800s, where wizards are commonplace but not generally accepted, how the two main characters deal with the topic of magic. Would love to see more of Mary Jo Putney's books on this website.
