I couldn’t stop listening
Revisado: 07-18-19
Actually, I got hooked with the first book, Speaks the Nightbird. I love watching Matthew mature - and am looking forward to seeing how the horrific events in this book shape him in future installments.
MILD SPOILER:
One warning. I found the first two books great reads with some disturbing content, but nothing to heinous. Mr. Slaughter is a deeply disturbing character and I found myself in tears a few times.

Overall a good book
Revisado: 02-01-16
This is the 2nd book written by this author that I have listened to. I felt compelled to write the review because of all the negative reviews I've read. The story was good - definitely not as interesting as the first - but still good. I found Sonja to be very real. I'm not sure why so many disliked her- I found her character to be interesting and real. I liked her...
As far as the story- it took awhile to get going. Once it did, it got much better. Perhaps the topic has become so commonplace that it moved slower than it should have. Either way- can't wait to "read" more from this author.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Just wow!!!
Revisado: 07-02-15
What a fantastic book! A great deal of technical information was not only interesting, but also entertaining! The narration was great, the characters were rich, and just wow! I loved this book and will certainly be looking for more from this author and this narrator! I'm not a science fiction buff (when it comes to reading) but this certainly got me! Definitely give it a shot!

Ehhhhh
Revisado: 06-19-15
My first novel by this author. I don't read a lot of SCI-du, so perhaps this novel is typical - but for a 31 hour audiobook, not enough time was spent developing the story or the characters and too much was spent on technical details. I feel I could almost build one of his spaceships and navigate myself to the moon! The story was good - I just wished he spent more times fleshing out the characters and less time on the "stuff". I will, perhaps, try another book because, based on the reviews, this was not one of his better stories... But it did have lots of potential

Historia
Chestnut Hill is one of Philadelphia's most upscale neighborhoods. But in one gleaming home, in a teenager's lavish bedroom, a girl has been brutally murdered. The atrocity kicks off an investigation by police who connect the girl's murder to a bizarre string of increasingly disturbing murders. A serial killer is loose—someone of unprecedented savagery.

Left me wanting more Teddy Mack!
The narration was not my favorite, just ok. The story was fantastic! I hope he writes more with this character.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Excellent story, fantastic narration. Truly loved this. A little like Gillian Flynn's gone girl but not as dark. A great look at alcoholism and mental illness
