Main character was obnoxious and repetitive, to a difficult to continue with, degree. Was seemingly obvious but ending was better than o tjoight for sure

A good find
Revisado: 07-02-23
I like how it wasn’t overly complex with too many characters and too many storylines blurring the main focal point…I do love a complex read but I love how you can dive deeper into the characters when it’s straightforward and it keeps he listener invested in the main conflict and doesn’t get messy.
Great fights and deeply disturbing antagonists..
Great narration as well!

Bummer ending
Revisado: 03-27-23
This was so predictable and had nothing but a very obvious ending with everything surprising you when you found ou it was as exactly how it was portrayed and not as layered and intricate in the slightest it felt underwhelming and I felt it had so much potential and it was as just bland after reading to the end.

Historia
Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster. Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them.

Main character drive me crazy…
Almost couldn’t get past it. The story was good but it felt forced and hard to keep my interest but obvious enough to finish it. Wish it hadn’t costed me a credit but I love Lucy price Lewis and she saved it for me.
I’d give it an “alright”

She bursts into my life like a storm, and nothing is the same again. One by one, I watch as my friends fall under her spell. Only I see that her smiles don’t reach her cold, furious eyes. And when I’m accused of things I didn’t do, when my home is vandalized, I know she’s behind it. But she only lets her mask slip when no one is looking, so if I say anything, I’ll look crazy. So when the baby shower comes around, I’m sitting on a velvet sofa in a posh hotel room, surrounded by balloons. But that afternoon, I finally learn the unbelievable truth. There is no baby....

I listen to ton of audible audiobooks, and I never write reviews only when the book really keeps me interested in wanting to know what happens next every moment. I was right owns the variance. Only thing I would say that’s not a wonderful addition would be that I figured out a big part of it pretty early on, but it still keep together very nicely and they were so many smaller stories that tied together very well so it wasn’tThat much of a letdown like it is so often when you have figured it out so soon.

When I arrive unannounced at my husband's studio in need of a shoulder to cry on after hearing that my best student, Alex, has died, I see a pair of wineglasses drying by the sink, and my deepest fear is confirmed: my husband is having an affair. Most women would fall to their knees in tears and throw him out of the house - but I just can't bring myself to do it. Instead, I go home and cook a healthy dinner for our children, walk the dog, and unload the dishwasher without complaint. I need this marriage to work to protect a terrible secret of my own....

Surprising
Revisado: 05-02-21
Psychological thrillers are my favorite, I have read many of them along with listen to many through Audible which I love. This book had me guessing the entire way through and I like to brag about the fact that I’m actually really good about figuring out the storyline before it’s over. Figuring out who is the bad guy or the one to blame, usually pretty quickly and in this case it absolutely was not. I had my feelings I had my thoughts they did her you in the perfect way they make you look at somethingIn a certain way and then you are proven incorrect. If I did I thought I may have been losing my mind or maybe missed a big chunk of the book. But it was just the authors genius way of keeping you from understanding that not every storyline is just like the other every single other one you’ve ever read it’s not a template for every psychological thriller which thank god because they’re my favorite but I’m starting to get bored and they are becoming completely predictable. This one was awesome made me question a lot of things and I have hopes for a future psychological thrillers moving forward.

Yikes! What the???
Revisado: 07-28-20
I hated the main character more than life itself. The reactions and even a lot of the wording were very unlikely to ever really happen. I found myself yelling “you’ve gotta be kidding!!!” More than a few times. Most of the book didn’t make sense. It was a struggle to get through. The narration, maybe, was the reason I made it through ‘til the end but all in all it couldn’t be more frustrating to listen to or even read.

Good but too short
Revisado: 10-27-17
Great story, great suspense and delivery. It has me interested from the beginning and didn’t build up too long before giving the action, but the story felt like it suddenly ended when it would usually feel like the middle of the book. Still a great listen and interested in more from this author. I just hope h next one is longer! :) 7/10
