Historia
Winter Reeves is an aristocratic Patriot forced to hide her heart amid the Loyalists of the City of New York. She has learned to keep her ears open so she can pass information on British movements to Robbie Townsend, her childhood friend, and his spy ring. Bennet Lane returns to New York from his Yale professorship with one goal: to find General Washington's spy hidden among the ranks of the elite. Both believers...and both committed to a separate cause. Will their faith in God lead them to a shared destiny or lives lived apart?

Historia
The Tillermans traveled on a road, and roads ended. Dicey's road, and James's, Maybeth's, Sammy's, had ended here. The Tillermans' road had rolled up against Gram's house, and they had tumbled off it into Gram's. Dicey grinned. Not exactly into Gram's arms, maybe not into her lap. Certainly into her life from Dicey's Song. It took 13-year-old Dicey Tillerman all summer to get herself and her three younger siblings to their grandmothers run-down farm on the Chesapeake Bay.

Historia
A. W. Tozer earned a legendary reputation as a prophetic voice, and he continues to be a best-selling author half a century after his death. A preacher at heart, he found his greatest joy in practicing the presence of God. Worship was his focus and his passion. His sermons were such strong declarations of what he discovered during private prayer and worship of the triune God that he had both the ability and the Spirit's anointing to move his listeners to wrestle with what God was saying to the church.

so much new insight - what a blessing!
Revisado: 11-27-22
I listen to this all-in- one shot! The narration is excellent and engaging. Tozer is able to take the most everyday situations and help you understand how to avoid the dreadful situation if Jesus came back and said he didn't know you. I am so inspired and excited for everything that I have learned and I know I'm going to have to listen to it again because it is more information in 4 hours than I have received in 40 years sitting in the church pew. His description of how to be filled with the Holy Spirit is so profound and has given me so much peace. Don't hesitate to listen to this book!

Pray for the persecuted
Revisado: 11-26-22
What a beautiful reminder of how blessed I am to have a Bible to be able to openly talk about my faith and to attend a church and have fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ. I love the prayers at the end of each day and I hope that I can be faithful to pray for brothers and sisters around the world and be listening for how God wants to use me!

Historia
In September 1926, the Honorable Daisy Dalrymple Fletcher visits Sybil Sutherby, a school friend now living in Derbyshire as the confidential secretary to a novelist. Suspecting that something is seriously amiss, Sybil has asked Daisy to discretely investigate. Upon arrival, Daisy finds a household of relatives and would-be suitors living off the hospitality of Humphrey Birtwhistle, who had been supporting them through his thrice-yearly, pseudonymous Westerns. When he took ill, though, Sybil took over writing them while he recovered, only to see the sales increase. Now, she fears that someone in the household is poisoning Birtwhistle to keep him ill and Sybil writing the better-paying versions.

bad language doesn't add to story
Revisado: 07-20-22
I have really enjoyed Carol Dunn's audiobooks, but I was very dismayed that she had to take God's name in vain so many times, over and over, in this story. You would think an author would realize how offensive that can be to Christians. It did not add anything to the story and there could have been other words selected.
