Chandler is my favorite character in the show! And now Matthew Perry is in my heart forever! I am so touched by his life story and the truthfulness, vulnerability and openness he has shared with us in this book. What a story. Not blaming the victim at all! It is sad how brainwashed she was into
choosing this man over her own kids at first. Debra also strikes me as very foolish throughout the story. Needless to say, after going through some abusive experiences myself, i will purposefully remain single forever! Men are scum!!!

Great eye opening book!

I never knew this! The author opened my eyes in a way no one else has. Ive encountered (and were married for 20 years) to a dangerous personality. Only
by the grace of God I'm still here. And because i didn't know this information and what to look for i entered 2 more relationships with dangerous personalities. Once again, only God saved me. But now, because of this book, I'm armed with knowledge and this will never happen to me again. Thank you Joe Navarro!!!!!

I got a lot out of this book however the narrator's style of speaking, accent and pronunciation made it difficult to comprehend at times. It should have been read by someone who had a better command of the English language. The book itself was very good however sometimes the author went off on unrelated tangents and didnt keep to a coherent idea. Too all over the place at times
