Okay so this was almost as good as the original series. A little more levity and it would have equaled the firs. I have one complaint but that lies with the narrator and not the author. This is one of my pet peeves. If you are jumping into an established series then listen to the books so you pronounce the names the same as the prior narrator. I don’t care which is correct I only know that pronouncing them differently distracts from the story for me. It really irritates me.

Loved this series from the first chapter until the last!!!! Can’t say I’ve enjoyed anything more. Underprivileged kids riding up. Just awesome!! Felt what the kids felt all the way through. Can’t wait for another book in the series!!!

As with all of Michael Sullivan prior books I loved the series as well. The only thing that I would have liked to of seen is a reunion of all the friends in the afterlife!

Horrible performance

I’ve read a lot of reviews saying not his best work. Personally, I don’t think it was the content as much as the presentation. Narrating for this and the next was like a bad B movie! I wish they would pick a good narrator and stick with him through ALL of his books. There have been a couple good ones that would have been great for the entire series. This was not it!

Good book

Okay, so liked the story but where it leaves off and the next in series leave out so much! This book helps us learn what happens to the humans and elves. It also explains how the rock trolls and other races come into the world.
It doesn’t tell us how the four lands start or the Druids and their council form! I think a good series would explain the in between time and the first war of the races start. There’s just to much stuff that happens in that time that’s briefly mentioned. Timeline isn’t complete!!!!

Good story

Took me a while to get into this one but once I did I liked! I loved all of the stories this author wrote. I listened to them out of order and then went back and listened to the ones I read first again. I loved picking up all the Easter eggs I found in the second go round.
This one I tried back when I finished the rest but left it and went to other books then came back and tried it again. I don’t know if it was a change in the narrator but now that I finished the first book I’m all in!

Good book

It surprised me! The first person style and journal type chapters are much different than any other book I’ve read so far. In fact the other first person book I tried I really didn’t like. So I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one.
I’m on the second book now. I am a little disappointed that most of the characters from the first book are no longer around but I’m dealing with it. Anyway I think it is going to be an enjoyable series.

Great book

First in three of the their books and I loved all three. Loved the character Jack. Finished all three then went to the rock troll stories. Finished those and with a new perspective on some of the characters I am rereading the chronicles of lumineia. I highly suggest them all.

I read these books after reading the the white mage set then went to the other sets so now I have to reread this set again. It’s okay I’m loving all of them and are looking forward to picking up all the Easter eggs dropped throughout the series!! 👍🏼

I believe I’ve read this books out of order starting with the last set first but that is only making me want to reread the book sets again in chronological order! I am enjoying them and can’t wait to read them again to pickup on the things I missed before! Rock trolls first then I will start the others again.
