Historia
The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina. O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune.

A wonderful end to a long journey.
Revisado: 12-29-24
I will start off by saying WOW. I first read/listened to Scott Sigler’s work back in 2005 when he released Earthcore as a free podcast and was hooked, and now almost 20 years later he has fully delivered on an amazing sequel and and culmination of many stories ranging from Ancestor, Infected, and the aforementioned Earthcore.
This story is wonderful and I can honestly say I was not expecting to tear up at the end but I did, that is not my normal reaction to Sigler’s work but he pulled it off.
I highly recommend checking out all of Sigler’s work but especially Earthcore (the book this one is a sequel to) and the Infected trilogy, they are masterpieces in their own right and all come together here (though you only really need to check out Earthcore to appreciate this novel).

I remember listening to Ancestor on Scott Siglers podcast way back in day and I loved it, now he had polished it and made it even better. Highly recommend.

Historia
Across America a mysterious disease is turning ordinary people into raving, paranoid murderers who inflict brutal horrors on strangers, themselves, and even their own families. Working under the government’s shroud of secrecy, CIA operative Dew Phillips crisscrosses the country trying in vain to capture a live victim. With only decomposing corpses for clues, CDC epidemiologist Margaret Montoya races to analyze the science behind this deadly contagion. She discovers that these killers all have one thing in common.

Been a listener of Scott’s since Earthcore found its way onto my computer back in 2005 and still relisten to his novels consistently. Infected will make you squirm and fear the chicken scissors

This playful tale is one of the best known of Rudyard Kipling’s Just So stories. In this one, pride and arrogance prove to be the downfall of a lazy camel.

I had this as a cassette when I was a kid and would fall asleep to it, I found it again so that my son would have the chance to do the same!

Historia
Set in a lethal pro football league 700 years in the future, The Rookie is a story that combines the intense gridiron action of Any Given Sunday with the space opera style of Star Wars and the criminal underworld of The Godfather. Aliens and humans alike play positions based on physiology, creating receivers that jump 25 feet into the air, linemen that bench-press 1,200 pounds, and linebackers that literally want to eat you. Organized crime runs every franchise, games are fixed, and rival players are assassinated.

I first heard/read this book way back when Scott aired it in his Podcast, way before it ever hit print, and I have been hooked ever since!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves sci-fi, sports, thrillers, or action/adventure. It’s well worth it.

Wonderful follow through!
Revisado: 11-13-19
At first I was skeptical, it seemed like a good premise when I read the summary. It turned out being very good, in my own opinion. If you enjoy hard science fiction then you will definitely enjoy this novel.
Can’t wait to get into the rest of the series.
