This story is full of emotion. Clara is poor, has a bad past and is trying her best to be a good person. She is trying to keep her brother sober and work 2 jobs. When her brother is ready to jump from a bridge, a man comes to help. She is unused to anyone helping, she does everything on her own and here is a man who just wants to help. Danny grew up poor, but he now owns a chain of coffee shops. He is driven, but he doesn't forget to be kind. He is attracted to Clara but knows he will be moving on to another place when he gets his newest coffee shop up and running. But Clara and Danny can't seem to stay away from each other. He is destined for great things, and she will stay in her same small town. Can they find a happy medium?

He is handsome and can have anyone he wants. Why would he want her? Joseph has been all over the world. He is in Cherish to visit some friends and to do a concert. He is immediately drawn to Scarlett. He doesn't think she is too loud or too heavy. He likes her just as she is. The problem is that Joseph is a rolling stone. He doesn't have a home, he lives on the road. Scarlett is a homebody. Can the two of them compromise?

Three stories of first love and second chances. I really enjoy all three stories. In Take Two, Eleanor and Brian had called it quits, but he is still working for her. He makes her life so much easier and when a scandal breaks, he saves her career. Can he convince her that she belongs with him?
In Pasties and Poor Decisions, Ana ran away from her life on Espoir Island and left Ned with a broken heart. Now she is coming home after a failed marriage and her reception isn't very warm. Is she just there to sell the home her ex bought her or will she stay. Ned needs to know.
In Last Chance Motel, Jess still loves Evan, but she won't be second in his life. He is so caught up in business, that he neglected everything else, including Jess. Evan wants her back and is willing to do anything to get her to change her mind. He gets a little help from an old guy who has been through the same thing. Can Evan step up and change things?

I liked the story and the characters. Nellie is a widow with cruel in laws. So, the only thing she can think to do to escape is become a mail order bride. She finds a man who will accept her and her children and he lives across the country from her in laws. Blake is a good man and immediately falls in love with her children. It seems to take longer for him to love Nellie. He is willing to take care of her and her children, but he vows never to love anyone. But, Nellie gets under his skin and he can't help but love her. They would have a good life if it wasn't for an old lover who doesn't want to let him go. It puts Nellie's life in danger and Blake will do anything to keep her safe.

Such a sweet, short story. Maise is new in town and is asked to judge a chocolate-making contest. The thing is, she has a problem eating chocolate. By the time she gets to the last entry, she is ready to sneak out the back door. But, the last table is manned by Ben. He doesn't even know the process for making the chocolate he is displaying. Maise isn't sure she can choke down one more piece of chocolate, but she tries anyway because she doesn't want to disappoint Ben. There is an instant attraction and she thinks she may want to explore that further. Can she stomach just one more piece of chocolate?

I enjoyed this story. Desiree has bought a house that needs a lot of work. She thought she would be fixing it up with her boyfriend, but when he saw the house, he left her. Kieren wants to move back to Roses. He needs a change and working on Desiree's house is just right for him. He can live in the attic and work on the house. What neither of them counted on was falling in love. The house is going great and love is in the air until an ex shows up in town and starts demanding that Kieren give her half of everything he has. Desiree thought that all was well, but the way this woman was acting, maybe Kieren didn't really care for her. Kieren knows he can fix this if Desiree just give him a chance. She has had so much loss in her life, she isn't sure she should give him another chance. Can he change her mind?

Really enjoyed this story and I really liked Holly and Tim. Holly is trying to fulfill her friend's last wish when she meets Tim.
