This is an amazing start to a litRPG adventure

I'm unsure how this isn't recommended more. I didn't even realize it was out yet but I was looking through the narrator's books and found this one. As someone who read many of the Idle system books as soon as they came out I was presently surprised with this book.

It has a system that brings a unique feel. The stats and other mechanics actually are to the story.
I highly recommend this book and I've read and listened to hundreds of books in this and the progression fantasy genre.

Turning into an annoying harem story

might be the last in the series I finish. I don't know why so many authors creep into harems after establishing a great series. it is unfortunate that another cultivation story gets ruined by this dramatic change.

Amazing story with some of the best voice acting

this story really brought me in. I normally lean towards progression fantasy and LitRPG, but this isn't far from that wheelhouse. Thank you for the wonderful story Pete. If you do continue doing audiobooks with your voice acting, LitRPG is an amazing genre that would enjoy your style.

The first six chapters are a struggle. Skip them!

The book doesn't really get started until chapter 7 unfortunately which is almost 2 hours into it. The rest of the book is great and I would recommend it, but cutting out almost 2 hours of audio makes it almost not worth a credit unless you are excited about the second book. first, six chapters are set in the future and have no world building to make any sense. It's like watching just the 4th quarter of the super bowl without knowing anything about football. Once you get past that, it is a great book!

Changed from good cultivation story to all harem

First book was good, had some meaningful relationships and quips to add to the awesome cultivation story. Second book seemed like it was half harem romance with little cultivation and actual story. This third book felt like I had to wait through 90% of a romance novel to get any story progression and cultivation. I'm likely to end the story here and not worry about any future books. I actually feel bad for recommending this series before now as it started out fun. Now I am annoyed by the battle spirit / soul that is attached to Ash. Every comment seems to be some sexual quip instead of helping the story. This really felt like a bait and switch as a reader and is beyond annoying.

If you are looking for a good progression fantasy, this is not it. If you are looking for a harem novel where everyone swoons for the main character to an annoying extent you will enjoy this.

fun reincarnation litRPG

This book brought together some of my favorite tropes. reincarnation, a system, and cultivation. The cultivation isn't traditional but through Mana channels instead meridians
