Historia
When Kirit Densira left her home tower for the skies, she gave up many things: her beloved family, her known way of life, her dreams of flying as a trader for her tower, her dreams. Kirit set her City upside down, and fomented a massive rebellion at the Spire, to the good of the towers - but months later, everything has fallen to pieces. With the Towers in disarray, without a governing body or any defense against the dangers lurking in the clouds, daily life is full of terror and strife.

Merely ok
Revisado: 12-12-22
Really hoped more gaps would be filled in after the first book. They weren't and the narration was flat. I really wanted to like this. The description is far more thrilling than the story itself.

Slow start decent end
Revisado: 11-29-22
The story was very slow to start, but character building is like that. The overall story was good. Some parts were predictable, but other parts leave wondering about the origin of the characters and their society. I'll listen to the next book hoping it provides more.

Historia
While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

Amazing
Revisado: 08-29-22
LOVED the masterful weaving of history and fiction. The narrator was captivating. The storytelling was so seamless that you'd almost wonder if this was a historical documentary rather than a historical fiction.

Ok
Revisado: 08-24-22
The premise is intriguing, but the narration was patchy. The shifts in tone mid sentence like it was recorded by a different device on a different day multiple times throughout the reading was distracting. I understand the writing is meant to convey the split between personalities, but it was jerky. The most interesting character is the little girl.

Long, but worth it
Revisado: 10-08-21
The start of the book was slow and I was feeling frustrated that I'd bought it. However, i kept listening and a few chapters in I was hooked. I got to the point I was looking for any moment to continue listening. If you can get past the slow beginning, this is a great book.
