Something's Missing?
Revisado: 04-23-25
I normally love these big sweeping grandiose mystery novels, but something is missing that I can't put my finger on it.... 🤔 good characters, great premise, well defined good/bad guy, good mystery, great twist and turns. So why was I disappointed in the end.... Maybe, it was the ending itself...I don't know. The book is well written and I really enjoyed the whole, although it is long winded in places, ride. Maybe the movie, if they make one, will be more fulfilling with more explanation.....

A con man with access to life after life with no real consequences, why would he ever change the way he lives? But Hart Tanner does change. No matter how stubbornly he clings to his own resistance.

Oh that little pup
Revisado: 04-12-25
Shawn Inmon at this time of my life is the author that hits every mark and what I am looking for in a writer. All of his books, especially in this series are thought provoking, heartfelt, respectful of the reader, and just really good. The Stubborn Lives of Hart Tanner is an incredible look into how the hardest heart can be changed by just one being that loves it unconditionally and knows us better than we know ourselves. Life after life, over and over from childhood to manhood Hart was betrayed, disappointed by, or just heart broken from lose by everyone in his life created a hard calloused heart ...Enter Mushu...Oh that little pup and her huge heart. Everyone needs a Mushu in there life, but in Hart Tanners life she was a life line from the darkest dark to his sanity and humanity and light. Do yourself a favor and get this book, it will change you.

No way to rate this...
Revisado: 04-08-25
There is no way to rate this book. on one have it's terribly written (childish actually), on the other hand it's an intriguing study of what true narcissism looks like. This one will make you cringe, for me I had to stop listening more than once just to rant and carry on about his ego and gall. He actually made some outlandish claim then said, Nicole would tell you if she was here.... He was truly delusional and demented.... good riddance.

Pretty great
Revisado: 02-21-25
This one is deceptively good. There are few things that I questioned along the way, but the questions were all answered, it was actually pretty great and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better narrator than Ray Porter. A little slow at first but it picked up speed and I can actually see them making a movie out of this. Nice little ending so wait for it ....wait for it.

An R rated Hallmark movie
Revisado: 11-05-24
No real substance.I fast forward through the gratuitous sex scenes, that weren't even written that well. So many characters and so little time, and none of them are really sketched out completely. story was flimsy and like I said in the intro a bad cheesy Hallmark movie, with sex scenes. If that's your game go for it. That's just my 2 cents worth

Historia
Cassandra Penelope Dankworth is a creature of habit. She likes what she likes (museums, jumpsuits, her boyfriend, Will) and strongly dislikes what she doesn't (mess, change, her boss drinking out of her mug). Her life runs in a pleasing, predictable order…until now. Then, something truly unexpected happens: Cassie discovers she can go back and change the past. One small rewind at a time, Cassie attempts to fix the life she accidentally obliterated, but soon she'll discover she's trying to fix all the wrong things.

loved this on so many levels
Revisado: 09-09-24
This was a strange when it first, but in the end it made complete sense. This is a time travel book for sure, with no explanation of why or how. But, it's much deeper than that, if you know somebody with autism or any quirky "disorder" , then this is a wonderful book for you. I have a grandson that is on the so-called spectrum, and he is amazing in his own way of thinking and doing things. So this book was such a wonderful breath of fresh air for me. It maybe a little clunky in places, but if you hang in there to the end I think you'll like it. All the time travel sequences make sense, this is one time I'll say I'd love the movie. This is just my two cents worth.
