Historia
Why are the best leaders the ones who are most adept at following? What should we expect of those who have the privilege of leading? And what may leaders expect of those who follow them? Drawing upon a military career spanning more than four decades, General Martin Dempsey, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, examines the limits of loyalty, the necessity of sensible skepticism, and the value of responsible rebelliousness, and explains why we actually should sweat the small stuff.

Great Narrator Stayed on Point
Revisado: 06-20-24
It is very easy to ramble on and jump from subject to subject but Gates does a great job on remaining germaine to the subject matter of his books. He also has a wealth of knowledge on any given subject he decides to tackle and comprehensively beats a subject to death, which I appreciate.

Decent but not Great
Revisado: 10-19-22
Worth the listen but barely. There are some very interesting concepts that are detailed but they are not that mind blowing. Overall not bad but not great.

This classic of spycraft is based on Allen Dulles's incomparable experience as a diplomat, international lawyer, and America's premier intelligence officer. Dulles was a high-ranking officer of the CIA's predecessor - the Office of Strategic Services - and was present at the inception of the CIA, where he served eight of his 10 years there as director. Here he sums up what he learned about intelligence from nearly a half-century of experience in foreign affairs.

It was a very interesting read. Reveals allot of important work that our CIA does to keep us safe and really helps boost confidence and respect for what they do.
