Historia
Art has the power to change our lives. For many, becoming an artist is a lifelong dream. But how to make it happen? In How to Be an Artist, Jerry Saltz, one of the art world’s most celebrated and passionate voices, offers an indispensable handbook for creative people of all kinds. From the first sparks of inspiration - and how to pursue them without giving in to self-doubt - Saltz offers invaluable insight into what really matters to emerging artists: originality, persistence, a balance between knowledge and intuition, and that most precious of qualities, self-belief.

Embrace this book!
Revisado: 11-16-22
I’m an artist, 63 years of age. I found Jerry’s words so inspiring. He made me gel like I was a 20 year old artist again, open to discovering and learning all I can about myself and being an artist.
I paint a lot of celebrities, musicians and sports. So for that, a lot of people don’t take my art seriously. I always wonder, if I should try something more “fine art”. After reading this and listening to Jerry’s words and wisdom I feel that way no more.
EMBRACE YOUR GENRE! Those words really hit home. So I take to my work with a renewed spirit thanks to Jerry.
If you’re an artist in and medium , there will definitely be a stroke of genius painted in this book you can relate to and find inspiring.
Thank you Jerry.

Historia
The drip paintings of Jackson Pollock, trailblazing Abstract Expressionist, appear to be the polar opposite of Thomas Hart Benton's highly figurative Americana. Yet the two men had a close and highly charged relationship dating from Pollock's days as a student under Benton. Pollock's first and only formal training came from Benton, and the older man soon became a surrogate father to Pollock.

Will put you to sleep

Performance if this book was so awful I had to stop. The reader definitely ruined the experience. If I could get a refund I would. Then, I’d buy the book and read it myself. That is what I would recommend to anyone.
