Please have this book reread with a different narrator. It is an unbearable listen. The story by Higashino is amazing.

Historia
In a Tokyo suburb, a young man named Toru Okada searches for his wife’s missing cat—and then for his wife as well—in a netherworld beneath the city’s placid surface. As these searches intersect, he encounters a bizarre group of allies and antagonists. Gripping, prophetic, and suffused with comedy and menace, this is one of Haruki Murakami’s most acclaimed and beloved novels.

Troubled narration
Revisado: 10-28-24
The narrator is good at times, but when he does female voices his narration is terrible and unlistenable. I even tried lowering the volume but it doesn’t help. He single-handedly ruined entire passages of the book with his female accents

Classic story from Arthur Conan and excellent narration as always from Harrison. But title seems to be misspelled, because of this I couldn’t initially find this version when searching audible

Historia
Round the Fire was the title of a series of 12 mystery and suspense short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, published monthly in The Strand Magazine between June 1898 and May 1899. The series was popular with contemporary readers, and while some of the individual stories, such as "The Brown Hand", have been regularly anthologised for many years and are well-known, there are some overlooked gems here, too.

Historia
>A true classic tale from the genre of weird Victorian tales based on a fascination with Ancient Egypt. A student of Egyptology gets shut into the Louvre at night by accident. Suddenly he sees a light approaching. Fearing that it is burglars, he hides and watches. The museum attendant, to whom he had spoken earlier, and who bears an uncanny physical similarity to images of ancient Egyptians, proceeds to open a mummy case and then unwrap the mummy. What he does next shocks the student of Egyptology to the core....

I enjoyed the story. Another great story by Arthur Conan Doyle, however I did not enjoy the performance of the narrator. Listened to Edward E. French’s version on YouTube to finish the story.

Book is unbelievable!! The writing, translation, and narration are amazing. The narrator is so good it feels like you’re watching a film. The author did a fantastic job. The story is 10/10 and the research involved in the book is out of this world. The English translation is perfect.
