It has a weird sense of morality. They take good care of the animals but when it comes to the more sentient ‘monster’ girls they are still treated as technical animals who are sold to the highest bidder, with their innocence or ‘animal instincts’ they believe you if you tell them who their master is. Slavery or morally acceptable?

Overall the premise of the story is interesting, your modern day stories are better than your fantasy world ones. The final fight though was needlessly long and boring and shows that their future fights don’t look very promising especially with how much blood he takes from the girls without letting them make more.

To be honest I laughed everytime Tav said “It’s the right thing to do” which is a rather hypocritical thing for them to say now, which humans are. Though turning away everyone that came to the bridge even if they were “decent” people, yet expecting to be fully on board and ready to be friendly and cooperative with you after that is a lot to ask from them. Especially when Tav’s group got angry at the gaurds that left the army base because they didn’t like what the other soldiers were doing to the civilians without trying to help because the odds were stacked against them.

Now when your in the same situation you do the same thing, locking yourself away and ignoring the outside world even though helping some of them would have been easier for your group. You can’t have it both ways and then be shocked when they refuse, isn’t very “decent” of you. I also know you can’t save everyone, I just was gobsmacked that they thought they would have a friendly response from these groups.

Also it was certainly “lucky” that there were no children and infants in the groups that tried to pass the bridge huh, even Tav wouldn’t shoot at them then, seems like the author or should I say fate works in mysterious ways.

The scenario near the end with the soldiers and surrendering civilians something else. I really didn’t like the play by play only because it took too long. I can understand a good plan needs to be established but one that takes to long would have the opposite effect that you wanted. All i’m sayin is R.I.P to the side characters that aren’t important enough to save.

The voice acting was flawless as always. Still think that Terra is the loudest of them all.

P.S. I skipped or ingored all the sex scenes they are rather stale.

Better than the previous books in the series, but you can’t really have action filled days everyday, or else it becomes stale and predictable.

This book was filled with more moral questions and thoughts than the others. About helping or not helping those in need that you don’t know which the group choose to not help anyone that came across there settlement. Best choice they could have made really. Though I think it made it easier for them to decide, because there were only desperate people who would rather steal from them than create their own stuff. Also helped that the author didn’t add any children to any of these groups or if they were, they weren’t mentioned. Thanks for the book.

All around a good listen it does get repetitive at times. I do like the way you showed the hillbilliy’s emotions. Like when “momma” went down and the kids didn’t immediately go to retaliate and instead mourned trully showed that even with a monsterous family like them they didn’t lose all human emotion, like the last guy arrived at the end of the fight and despaired at finding his family dead one after the other and cried more for them then for his own life (what I want to believe). Still a terrible family the only thing I could think at the time was hope your next life was not so unfortunate. I also have no sympathy for what they have done so don’t yell at for that.

Honestly was expecting a slow and boring story with some smut like some of the other Eric Vall books and wasn’t really too disappointed. Just like most stories plot holes exist. The timelines are a bust, computer says the timelines are a couple months apart we find out it’s actually closer to a 15 year difference, to the mc forgetting that he could just leave to world to escape any danger he comes across, to saying that there are no organic weapons that he could taken with him, (A simple sharpened wooden sword or knife could’ve worked). The reason we get for the main heroine to leave with the mc is also painfully faulty, a child born between two wayfarers would tear the timeline apart, it would affect every dimension the child would go through, so that’s a bust.

Making the Mc mentally inadequate sometime to make the story progress shouldn’t be the norm but It seems to be in this genre honestly the smartest character in this book was the main heroine, which honestly was probably because she was ignorant to most of future tech

Just a couple of my thoughts while I was listening. In my own opinion I really enjoy the world building and and plot ideas so far and can’t wait to see more. Charles though isnt much of a scientist, he basically throws the scientific theory straight out the window, I get that the story isn’t meant to be that serious, but still. “My blood is what makes it work” isn’t very pragmatic, or “I can’t make it work with men.” There are other bits and pieces in the plot that get me, but overall do enjoy. Will be waiting for the next one.

Overall I thought the book maintained balance between the shit hitting the fan hard and the CBGs barely making it. Gideon not making full use of his mimicry also bugging me but he did say he aint no alpha male, but I still think as a fantasy author he should be capable enough to have some strategy. Carrying a vial of blood from every super powered individual that he can should be first on the to do list. Other than my own thoughts, I truly recommend this book if you enjoy happy enough ending. #StickToYourNindoGideon #StillDon’tThinkFionaIsDead

Was skeptical at first, but I couldn’t keep myself from listening. I was really disappointed that is was so short, however it was so worth it. Can’t wait for the next one.
