This book held me capture for the entire 3 books, enough so that I decided to keep going into the next ones too. The story is not only the bang bang type, but it has a good story going for it as well. I really recommend it as a good read!

I was pleasantly surprised

I usually do not read detective stories but as it was a boxed set of 3 books for one credit, I thought "why not"?. All three turned out to be very good and also long ones for a change. Usually you buy box sets to find none of them over 6 hour's but these are all well over 9 hours long. The narrator was also very good, she had all the different voices but did not make them all sound strained like some I have listen to. Now I am going, to spend some more credits to listen to the rest of this entertaining series of books.

I really do love this story but..........

I have problems with this book, no not the story or the narrator, just the fact that the author keeps writing about the woman being an older than normal woman. I have no trouble with being over 70 so why is our main character have to keep on and on about her age?
The second thing is the DUCK word, I mean it shows a lack of a dictionary having to change the F bomb into duck,ducking and any other connotation of duck you can think of, after all we are all aware of the word so why keep alluding to it as DUCK.
The last thing on my omg list is the cloud player that just stopped every time the buffering was needed, it completely ruined what is mostly a really a great story. I think that someone should have a look at the cloud player, after all I have used Audible for years now, but I do not know how much longer I can get up and down to start a book up again and again. What happened to the library that you used to to get actually on your computer?

Sorry people, this is a dud, about a woman who behaves like a teen aged child and I mean a 13 year old!
The narrator is very precise and very clear but oh so boring.
if you have read any of my other reviews I am usually very pleased with the books I listen to, not this time though. Blah

As you can see by the headline I am stuck on these books, I no sooner finished the 3 book set than I immediately went and purchased the next book. So roll on number four, I cannot wait. These are great, no sex, no steamy interludes, just hours of fun listening. The Wisteria Witches have my vote for a cracking good read and also they are not the two or three hour listens, these are ten hours long each and really worth the credit. so for more laughs for you buck go fir this set and any others she might write.

What a great book, I was so engrossed I used two whole tissues to wipe the tears of LAUGHTER from my eyes. I also downloaded the next 4 books in this series of author Molly Harper's. I might even believe in Vampires and Were Wolves, after all there are so many books about them these days. I have to say I am enthralled in these versions and hope there are more "Nice Girls Don't in this series.

This is the second time around for reading this!

As the title says I have read this series before but it has been quite a while since the first time and a 6th book has just come out, so I thought I would get a "refresher" so that I knew what it was all about. I thought I would read a little of each book to just get a taste, but at once with this (the first) I was once again glued and could not stop at just a "taste".
I have found that there was a whole new nuance and I enjoyed it even more the second time around.
This story is not about a tough heroine who goes out to win the prize or beat the bully, this a story about a person who is used by a so called protector and how in the midst of a snow storm ends up a a place no human goes by choice but still manages to make a life with "the Others".
Yes it has "were Wolves", "Vampires" and all other kinds of Others, but this is NOT about horror or terror of the night, it is much deeper than that and all I can say is that Anne Bishop has a beautiful mind to create a world like Fasia and still keep my interest through 6 books and then come back around for a second and maybe even a 3rd look, who knows?
The Narrator does an excellent job to keep interest in all of the characters, from hawks and crows to wolves and vampires and elementals and there is even one in there that even the others have no name.
So pull up a comfy chair and listen to you hearts content, knowing that you are safe because the Others are Here.

Once more Chrisopher Nuttall gives us great story

I have loved C G Nuttall's other series and this one looks just as good. As this is the first and only one so far I can only review It. The Zero Enigma is almost the opposite of his other series because, in this one it, is the lack of magic that the protagonist has to overcome. I can honestly say I cannot wait for the next book to come to Audible, to find out how this will be a real "blessing".So go on Mr Nuttall and show us all how it is done. What ever happens I will hold my breath until it arrives. In the meantime I encourage you to try this first book and you will be as keen as I am!

This series has really got me in.

Crossbreed number 2 is even better than 1, I stayed up till gone midnight listening to it and as soon as I got up I kept going until the end, roll on number 3.
The Narrator is great at what she does and I could listen to that dark chocolate voice for ever! It is going to be a great series and I am getting every one of them as soon as they come out.
So spend your credits with the certainty that you are getting a great author, a great story and narrator combination and hours of good listening.

Well this is something a bit different.

This is the first book in a series and having read it I am getting the next one, so it must have been a good story,.But what got me in was the different characters, and are they different. There is a Vampire, a mage or two (one who is blind), a cheetah shifter, a wolf shifter, a relic, a sensor and a half-breed. They are complicated people leading complicated lives, but it does work.
The Narrator does a great job and keeps it real, they have tones and accents, but you are always sure who is talking at the time.
So all in all it was a great book, and I recommend it.
