It's really amazing what a great narrator can do with a book. Keith is that narrator. I think if Keith had narrated the other Joe Weber books they would have had better reviews

Historia
While Congress debates the merits of continued funding for the stealth bomber, sinister forces have their own goals in mind. During a training exercise, a B-2 bomber disappears. When search efforts produce no evidence that the bomber crashed, the US Air Force has no choice but to acknowledge that one of its most secret and high-tech aircraft has been hijacked.
Recovery of the B-2 and its crew becomes the president's highest priority, and the Kremlin claims no knowledge of the missing aircraft. Finally, intelligence leads to what at first seems a very unlikely suspect: Cuba.

poorly researched, juvenile presentation
Revisado: 01-26-18
What disappointed you about Strike Force Alpha?
Poorly researched, weapons and tactics kind of hokey. Story not quite believable. I'm not PC but in the description of the level of "blackness" of the covert team being "if any darker they would be picking cotton". With today's highly technical Special forces writers it doesn't measure up.
What could Mack Maloney have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
more research, better story line.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He didn't really, the story detracted from his ability
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
By the level of today's writers, disapointment
Any additional comments?
I won't read anything by this author again.

Very little plot
Revisado: 09-03-13
What disappointed you about Fifty Shades Darker?
The story is 19 hours of whiney gratuitous sex with little or no plot. The first book was marginally better. I read the first book out of curiosity and don't have a clue why I got the second. I've never read novels for the lovelorn, but I would guess this is a good fit for women who never date and are looking for a Prince to come along. After hearing about the book I should have known better.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I wish Vince Flynn were still with us.
Did Becca Battoe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes
Any additional comments?
Ana is a box of rocks when it comes to understanding the obvious. I can't believe that James made $95 million dollars last year on this drivel.
