Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

Remarkable storyline and characters
Revisado: 01-04-23
I loved the style of this book. The Audible version was performed perfectly and Taylor Jenkins Reid’s characters are remarkably complex, believable, and leave you wishing they were real.

Historia
Born in Leipzig, Germany, into a Jewish family, Eddie Jaku was a teenager when his world was turned upside-down. On November 9, 1938, during the terrifying violence of Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, Eddie was beaten by SS thugs, arrested, and sent to a concentration camp with thousands of other Jews across Germany. Every day of the next seven years of his life, Eddie faced unimaginable horrors in Buchenwald, Auschwitz, and finally on a forced death march during the Third Reich’s final days.

Perfect reminder of our blessings
Revisado: 12-09-22
Such a perfect book for the climate we are in. To hear the thoughts of someone reflecting and remembering their life at 100 years old is a gift all it’s own. Eddie’s story, like so many holocaust survivors is horrifying and yet he reminds us to live each day as a blessing.

READ THIS BOOK - TODAY!
Revisado: 05-20-19
Sam Horn does an amazing job showing the reader how to live a more purposeful today. Our society is so caught up with reaching the next goal, making the next pay level or buying the bigger house that we put our joy and happiness on hold ‘until’. No more ‘until’!
My husband and I enjoyed listening to the author tell heartfelt and powerful stories through her own experiences, those of friends, and even pop culture. The authors voice is clear and charming, making these stories even more enjoyable with her inflection and emotion. Through all 10 life hacks there are exercises and questions to answer that are relevant, easy to follow and eye opening to say the least. Anyone looking to smile more, remember the joy, and live each day to the fullest should take this journey.

But Caroline’s world is forever changed when Hitler’s army invades Poland in September 1939—and then sets its sights on France.
