An incredible book and stellar performance!
Revisado: 08-23-22
When Samira Wiley voiced Cellie's words, "Dear God, I am fourteen years old", I was hooked and couldn't stop listening. Wiley gives voice to Ms. Cellie that grabs you and won't turn you loose.
Alice Walker threw these incredible characters into my life 40 years ago. I recall my heart aching and rejoicing as I read and reread this book at least a half dozen times over the next ten years or so. It's been 25 years since my last read and life experience has illuminated truths previously hidden to my younger self, yet Alice Walker's lessors are there for us no matter who we are and where we are or when we are.
My soul is still stirred.!

Who knew one little nut could be so big!
Revisado: 07-24-20
Marc's reporting was entertaining while very informative. With sensitivity and thoroughness, he interviews law enforcement, private security, felons, community members and scientists about how something as simple as almonds can impact a community and the broader world. A great listen!
