Read the trilogy in succession! Narration is amazing, characters are well developed and interesting.
Fantasy world is nice and easy to follow. A bit of mystery and puzzle pieces which is fun.

Book is well written, fun well developed characters with good plot and dialogs. Lovely world building without being too complicated. Good rhythm.
Narrator was a great fit for this book, joy to listen to.

Bought the next one right as this one ended.

Fun exciting not a cliff hanger

Fun book with many well detailed characters.
Enjoyed the twists, turns, and that it was somewhat pleasant (not the heroes that constantly repeat and bemoan their misery, I mean it was mentioned but not overly much).
It’s a bit protracted but a great finally.
The world is fairly easy to understand and it is not over described, just enough to get the point across.
I was worried, since this is a first book in a series m, she will make it into a cliff hanger. She didn’t. The specific plot development was completed enough to tie all the significant plot twists raised during this book. Of course there is room for more in the next books I am sure but this book is well finished!
Fun and worth the credit!
If you are expecting some deep exploration of human relationships or philosophical discussions this is not it - this is a fun book to pass the time
Can’t wait for the next installment

Narrator can break a nice book - case in point

Story is interesting and fast paced.

The narrator, really is not my style. All the time she sounds breathless and over dramatic. She does an ok job keeping the male and female voices somewhat different. But ugh she is irritating to listen to. Unfortunately she is the narrator for most of Adele’s books making the books a bit cringe worthy.

Somewhat Christian romance

I love Stella Riley’s books.
This one had too much war info for me which made me very uncomfortable and I mostly skipped most of the book.

Enjoyed the characters. Liked the small story twists and the nod to the already known to everyone fairytales.
Narrator was good as well.
