Historia
When her granddaughter was accepted to Naropa University, the celebrated author Pema Chödrön promised that she'd speak at the commencement ceremony. Fail, Fail Again, Fail Better contains the wisdom shared on that day. "What do we do when life doesn't go the way we hoped?" begins Pema. "We say 'I'm a failure.'" But what if failing wasn't just "okay"... but the most direct way to becoming a more complete, loving, and fulfilled human being?

A frozen body is discovered in the icy depths of Langjökull glacier, apparently that of a businessman who disappeared 30 years before. At the time, an extensive search and police investigation yielded no results - one of the missing man’s business associates was briefly held in custody, but there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him.

Narrator did a good job but the story was boring. No surprises and cliched ending. Total waste of my time in listening to whatever this was.

Historia
Evelyn Waugh's most celebrated work is a memory drama about the intense entanglement of the narrator, Charles Ryder, with a great Anglo-Catholic family. Written during World War II, the story mourns the passing of the aristocratic world Waugh knew in his youth and vividly recalls the sensuous pleasures denied him by wartime austerities; in so doing it also provides a profound study of the conflict between the demands of religion and the desires of the flesh.

A solid $5 dollar story.
Revisado: 07-05-19
The narration was good and I intend to search out other stories she has narrated. I'm not one to be able to predict the ending of the books but halfway through it was obvious. I could never recommend this story if it cost more than 5 dollars and even then I feel it would waste my time. I wish I hadn't devoted the hours I did to it.

Definitely recommend this book. Hopefully I won't be using an ED again but if so, after listening to this book,- I am better equipped to understand the wait involved and how to help myself get a quick and proper diagnosis.

The Enormous Room is a 1922 autobiographical novel by the poet and novelist E. E. Cummings about his temporary imprisonment in France during World War I. Drawing on his experiences in France as a volunteer ambulance-driver, Cummings recounts the series of mistakes that led to his arrest and imprisonment for treason. This edition restores much of the original manuscript.

Revisado: 03-25-15
Would you try another book from E. E. Cummings and/or Ken Kliban?
Yes.
What could E. E. Cummings have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
This story lacked any drama. Like watching paint dry.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ken Kliban?
Narrator did an OK job. He didn't have much to work.

Tale of terror ? Not at all.
Revisado: 03-16-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
With the headline 'Classic Tales of Terror' I expected at least a little taste of fright. There was none. I'm trying to think of a scary or at least suspenseful scene and I can't come up with one.
What was most disappointing about Robert W. Chambers’s story?
What was most disappointing was the absolute lack of thrills, chills, or goosebumps.
Which scene was your favorite?
The story was bland. I don't have a favorite scene. Not even a mildly memorable scene.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Yellow Sign?
Please don't make me say it.
Any additional comments?
I'm sorry. I dislike leaving negative reviews. But come on Audible. There is nothing remotely terrifying about this book except the misleading title.

Just can't finish this book.
Revisado: 03-13-15
Would you try another book from Jussi Adler-Olsen and/or Graeme Malcolm?
I might download a sample.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narration was monotonic, but not intolerable. I don't believe the narrator had a lot to get excited about or work with.
Do you think The Alphabet House needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No.
Any additional comments?
The first half of the book held my interest. The third quarter did not hold my interest in the characters. I simply didn't care about any of them. And I can't finish this book, and would not recommend it. I felt that a lesser author took over the writing after the first half.
