I was waiting this love story drug out, but for the actual mini plots (the ex-boyfriend) not long enough or not enough substance to that plot (her parents coming back into the pic). Narration was awesome. it's an OK read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much I finished it in 1 day! Oooooh these Brittons are a WHOLE fool!! Carolyn Britton!!!?? This ma'am is one who's audacity goes FAR AND LONG. This series (of which I know there will be) will be at least 4 consecutive books...if not more. This one is just as comparable to/with The Family Business but ALOT messier! There is SO much to unpack with these characters that 2 books won't do. Can't WAIT until the next one comes out. Now to see the series on BET+. Loved it!!

Neither of the stories ever kept my attention. I kept listening thinking it would finally get there and it never did. I even tried to rewind some parts to see if I missed something and alas, I didn't. One of the narrators had several errors while reading. and No, it wasn't Cary.

I purchased this one due to Carl Weber's name being attached. The narrator was HORRIBLE. I couldn't even get into the story because of that. I heard the whole story, but I didn't remember it simply because of the narrator.
