Historia
Growing up in South Boston, Sean Scott Hicks was running jobs for the Irish mob before his voice changed. Mistreated by his drug-addled mother, Hicks found sanctuary with his adoptive family of felonious uncles—known to law enforcement officials as the Winter Hill Gang. These crooks knew where all the bodies were buried—because they’d done the burying—but they also looked out for young Sean. Even the notorious gangster known worldwide as Whitey Bulger was simply “Uncle Jim” to him.

Amazing story of never giving up on yourself. It’s fascinating that he was able to rise from such a dark dark place. Great read

Breaking bones, burying bodies, and planting bombs became second nature to Two Tonys while working for the Bonanno Crime Family, whose exploits inspired The Godfather. good FICTION read
Revisado: 10-31-19
Loved the first half of the book before it became obvious that large parts of the story are simply untrue. While I don't necessarily believe the author made up the story, a little investigation on his part would have showed that his mystery informant was a liar. While obviously based in reality, the story becomes so grandiose that i began to do more own research. Even though is was clearly hyperbole, I still continued to listen and finish the book. Just from a different perspective.

Historia
This drama graphic novel is based on Eminem's success and the factual ills of "white rapper" and hip-hop rap god, years before Eminem's Kamikaze CD. Shady Bizzness tell about real life events of his public and private lifestyle. The book details the good times, hardships, drug abuse, domestic violence, scandals, sex, near-death experiences, murder, oppression of employees, and bitter betrayal. Shady Bizzness is everything a parent despises, thugs love, groupies lust over, and wives hate!

Waste of time
Revisado: 08-09-19
Just a bitter ex employee trying to get revenge. The narcissism and racism are so absurd it becomes comical. Every single dealing this man speaks of goes bad and it’s never his fault. Egomaniac trying to make a story out of nonsense we already know (I.e. Slim and Kim fought a lot.).

Historia
For 20 years, gang unit detectives Tim Brennan and Robert Ladd patrolled the streets of Compton. They witnessed the birth and rise of gangsta rap with acts they knew personally, such as N.W.A and D.J. Quik; dealt firsthand with the chaos of the L.A. riots, its aftermath, and the gang truce that followed; were involved in the investigations of the murders of hip-hop stars Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., and were major players in an all-out tug-of-war with City Hall that ultimately resulted in the permanent shut-down of the Compton Police Department.

Horrendous narration
Revisado: 08-09-19
Was looking forward to hearing the story of these guys. However the narrator was so atrocious I couldn’t listen. It’s read like a high school student giving a speech. No inflection, monotone, same cadence throughout. Authors rarely do a good job narrating their work. Very disappointing.
