Hmmm ok
Revisado: 03-19-25
There are some interesting parts and author is obviously inteligent and knowledgable. However it is fvery disappointing to see an inteligent people to be so brainwashed by state propaganda and left ideologies. If we are doomed because of AI, well let be it. But do not beg states to “govern me harder”. Last part is literelly all more regulations, regulations, regulations. Govern me harder, please nanny state help me. Like this would ever solve anything and there are only angels in public sector. He literally and shamelessly propose more censorship. The fact that we have authors like this one talking about more censorship, regulations, taxes and other violence on innocent people like he is better than them without ANY shame should make everyone pause and ponder where did we as a society get to. We have a lot of work to do to reverse this. Maybe the technology he is talking about will help.

Historia
There’s a new invisible force at work in our economic and cultural lives. It affects every advertisement we see and every product we buy, from our morning coffee to a new pair of shoes. “Stakeholder capitalism” makes rosy promises of a better, more diverse, environmentally friendly world, but in reality, this ideology, championed by America’s business and political leaders, robs us of our money, our voice, and our identity.

Informative and sometimes scary
Revisado: 02-08-23
First part of the book is pretty informative and lets you peek behind the curtain of big corporations. And it is often pretty scary. For some american employees it might be daily bread and butter but for me - selfemployed from europe - it is shockingly disgusting and downright scary.
Unfortunately in the second part author is revealed as another dictatorial statist. He is obviously very inteligent, but is oblivious to his own statist brainwashing and thus present only dictatorial solutions(which would again and again fail) and is quick to dismiss free market and anarchy.
Last chaper is pretty well written motivation speech.
At the end it is funny that child of indian imigrants is warning americans and tries to same america.

Historia
For over a decade, philosopher and energy expert Alex Epstein has predicted that any negative impacts of fossil fuel use on our climate will be outweighed by the unique benefits of fossil fuels to human flourishing--including their unrivaled ability to provide low-cost, reliable energy to billions of people around the world, especially the world’s poorest people. And contrary to what we hear from media “experts” about today’s “renewable revolution” and “climate emergency,” reality has proven Epstein right.

Historia
The most important fact about the coronavirus pandemic that turned the world upside down in 2020 is that our response to it has been an epic overreaction driven by a disastrous confluence of public and private interests - all of them purporting to “follow the science”. Since the lockdowns began, millions of Americans have relied on the reporting of Alex Berenson. Exposing the hysteria and manipulation behind the worst failure of public policy since World War I, this clear-eyed journalist has been a critical source of reason and truth.

Historia
The vast majority of theft, extortion, intimidation, harassment, assault, and even murder - in other words, the vast majority of man's inhumanity to man - comes not from the greed, hatred and intolerance that lurks in our hearts. Rather, it comes from one pernicious and almost universal assumption, one unquestioned belief, one irrational, self-contradictory superstition: the belief in "authority".

What a must read!
Revisado: 09-17-21
I have read dozens of books on anarchy, libertarianism and austrian economics from authors like Rothbard, Hoppe, Mises, Block, Spooner and many others. I am highly favorable to these ideas and yet this book shocked me how well versed it was. Its ideas are not new to me, yet I was surprised how this author present same concepts in his own, slightly different perspective and thus opening my eyes even wider still!
On top of that, and contrary to many other authors, it is written in a very simple language which makes this book incredible recommendation for anyone and everyone!

Historia
Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but only if we skip it. Fasting is a wonderfully healthy state. When we fast our insulin levels fall, as do our blood sugar, triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Most usefully, when we fast we lose weight. But what do too many of us do on waking? We break that lovely gift of fasting - we literally breakfast - and we eat, so courting type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, strokes, hypertension, dementia and cancers of the liver, breast, pancreas and uterus.

The book is very readable, well researched and overall very enjoyable. Author looks at the topic from broad perspective and every angle and builds on many research.
As for the core message. I feel more and more people start to see how many lies we were fed and there is no shortage of lies in the field of nutrition.

Historia
For most people, tax is something we pay, simply because we must. We seldom think much more about it; in fact, tax is something we'd rather forget. But the reality is that tax is the key to power. No government can survive without tax revenue - it is the fuel that every state, large and small, runs on. Many of the problems we face today, not least the enormous wealth gaps between rich and poor and between generations, can be traced back to our systems of tax.

Interesting view on history
Revisado: 08-29-21
I learnt a lot about history of taxes and it is definitely an interesting lens.
The only complain I have is that the author does not go far enough with his imagination about what could have been and how it can go forward. The last chapter shows precisely that as it is complete statist nonsense. The rest is very educational.

Historia
Anarcho-capitalism is the most exciting social philosophy of modern times. But how does it work? This book illuminates the ethical system at the heart of anarcho-capitalism. It builds the nonaggression principle from praxeological foundations and develops techniques for applying it to real world conflicts. It explores the edges of libertarianism to show where it shines and where it fails.

Surprisingly great!
Revisado: 07-06-20
I didnt expect such a great book. It teaches all the fundamentals of libertarianism and anarco-capitalism one by one in a completely different and easily digestable way. It is a story of you on deserted island.
I would have never thought there can be a book which can simultaneously teach libertarianism thoroughly and be friendly enough to be read to children before sleep. I was mistaken. This book did it!
Highly recommended to anyone (except communists, I guess:))

In For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto, Rothbard proposes a once-and-for-all escape from the two major political parties, the ideologies they embrace, and their central plans for using state power against people. Libertarianism is Rothbard's radical alternative that says state power is unworkable and immoral, and ought to be curbed and finally overthrown.
