Historia
Social scientist Brené Brown has ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability—the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome—is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall.

I attempted this book after my cancer battle but was not ready to receive it. I am so thankful I picked it back up seven years later. Living Loved and Rising Strong!

This book is everything. Honestly, I feel as though I could have written it myself. (A good reminder that there is nothing new under the sun, and we are not alone in our trials or revelations.) My husband and I have gone through it together, while physically apart, and we are hopeful. Hopeful in Christ and change and healing and wellness. Thank you-

Historia
In So You Want to Talk About Race, Ijeoma Oluo offers a contemporary, accessible take on the racial landscape in America, addressing head-on such issues as privilege, police brutality, intersectionality, micro-aggressions, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the "N" word. Perfectly positioned to bridge the gap between people of color and white Americans struggling with race complexities, Oluo answers the questions listeners don't dare ask and explains the concepts that continue to elude everyday Americans.

Informative perspective

Sorry to disappoint you with my tone policing but the narrator’s voice definitely interfered with my ability to receive this tough content. As I’m also actively listening to Why Are All The Black Kids Sitting Together In The Cafeteria? I do prefer and am more open to receiving the similar content from a calm voice, especially for such a heightened emotional experience. I am genuinely trying to learn and do better. Regardless of our conflicting beliefs, I will continue to teach love, confession, repentance, and forgiveness. He is our only hope. Godspeed.

In this thrilling narrative, O’Reilly blends primary, never-before-released interview material with a history that recounts Trump’s childhood and family and the factors from his life and career that forged the worldview that the president of the United States has taken to the White House. Not a partisan pro-Trump or anti-Trump book, this is an up-to-the-minute, intimate view of the man and his sphere of influence.
