Nice Ending

Wow, Lara Jean and Peter were a rollercoaster from the very beginning. Through their fake relationship to the miscommunications, the final does leave you with a nice ending. I do wish we could of gotten a epilogue to see how everyone was doing and that we could of gotten more Josh. For being pretty much family, Josh completely disappeared and just became a afterthought to the Covey clan.

The Lara Jean books were my first time reading (listening :P) to Jenny Han. This series were for teens or very young adults and that isn't usually something I go for so I probably won't read another one of her book. I listened to them because I liked the movie and sadly, I did find the movie more enjoyable.

Laura Knight Keating did a wonderful job narrating. She gave the characters different voices so you were able to tell who was speaking. I would listen to more books she narrates.

Having watched the movie first, I will say it slightly ruined me to the book. The movie gave a more adult feeling to the story but the book feels too young. Both Peter and Josh are borderline annoying in the book and makes it at times very hard to like them. Peter does become more likable but Josh becomes less likable as the story moves along. Overall, book was cute and Peter and Lara Jean are sweet but the movie was better.

Full of Smut but a Good Book

30 minutes in, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. The story has about 80% sex to 20% story and the sex scenes are very graphic. I usually like books with heavy sex scenes but this book had me shaking my head at times. The story did get more interesting and you do get attached to the main couple. Teri did a wonderful job narrating. Overall, it was a good book and worth a credit, as long as you don't mind having more smut than a plot.

BORING

I almost gave up on this book several times. With only a couple parts that was interesting, I found this book to be very long and boring. I'll probably try another book by Jennifer Blake as maybe this book just wasn't her best. Overall, I didn't like this book and wouldn't recommend this book.

Could Of Been Better

I had a lot of hope for this book after reading the reviews but was sadly disappointed. It's a "Young Adult" book but it was a little too "young" for my taste. It felt like a 13 year old wrote this book. The narrator's voice had too much of a child-like voice which added to the middle school vibes I was getting. It deals with a massive earthquake which the author wrote really well. If you like clean young love with a natural disaster thrown in, it is a good book. If you like to read something with a bite, this may not be your cup of tea.

I Wish I Could Give The Narrator a Negative Star

The plot had potential but the book was only 54 minutes long and about 5 minutes of that was the author promoting herself. It felt rushed with a happy ending at the end. This could of been a nice 9 hour book if only the author would of put more effort into creating the story.

Onto the narrator - She sucked! One of the worst narrators I've listened to. She sounded like a three year old high on sugar and overly excited. She should narrate children books, not adult books that have sex in it. Listening to someone who sounds like they could be Dora the Explorer read sex scenes is very uncomfortable.

Frustrating To Finish

The summary of this book sounded so good but this book was the worse. The narrator was not the best, she should work more on making her reading voice more interesting. The book was boring and aggravating and really hard to finish. The male character is borderline abusive. This couple had no chemistry what so ever and the sex scenes did nothing in making you think differently. I won't be reading any more books from this series and marking the author off as just bad.

Okay Start To A Series

This is the 1st book in the Rakes & Rebels Series and I hope the rest of the series is better than this one. It wasn't bad but didn't really leave me wanting to read the remaining books. Tim did a good job narrating but nothing too special.

Almost As Funny As The Movie

A Christmas Story is a Christmas Classic so when I found the book, I had to listen to it. Dick Cavett isn't as good as Jean was at narrating the movie but still did a wonderful job. This book is full of laughs and is a great addition to your Christmas traditions.
