Revisado: 04-23-23
This final book was nothing short of amazing. The long wait for its release is understandable once you listen. The accents are spot on, and the heartbreak along with the surprises don't stop. I spent a fair amount of time crying while listening to this, and it was worth every tear. I don't believe I have ever been so pleased with the way a series was wrapped up. Authors should take a cue from Kresly, because she NAILED IT. I will miss these characters and all that they brought to the story. Thank you, Kresley for taking the time to do this right! Thank you Emma for giving us the story the way it should have been told. This re-recorded speaks volumes about how important this was to you:)

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Mind blowing and heart breaking
Revisado: 02-04-23
I remember exactly where I was the night Princess Diana died. Britain and the world, in general, were in complete shock. I also remember watching her two boys following her coffin as they had her service. It was and still is heartbreaking. To be at an age where you cannot mourn your own mother because the "proper thing was to console" complete strangers. I always had a feeling that Harry would not be like all the other royals, and look at him now. He is a more well-rounded, determined, kind, and resilient human being, more than anyone before him, except his mother. I also watched the media jump on him for every single thing "they considered wrong", I watched as they constantly compared Meghan to Kate, the cruelty that they both had to endure was so extreme it was hard to believe, yet I did. I am so grateful that Harry put his truth out there. The people complaining that he sold his family out, well that's not true. The media and his very own family sold him out, time and time again. He is a better person than his brother, father, and even the now-deceased Queen. His children will have wonderful loving normal lives, they won't be parted for months at a time while their parents are flying all over the place while the kids are raised by others. He should be commended. Part three of his book, I think I cried almost all the way through it. It's so relatable and unbelievable. They did not do this to even the playing field, they did it because they had every right to stand up for themselves and the never-ending lies the media threw at them day after day. Let's be honest, his family sure did not stand up for him. And his family, well they only cared that those bad headlines took away any focus on any of them. I don't think he will ever regret what has done with his life. I thank you Prince Harry for being an amazing human being. For sharing the most difficult and wonderful things you have gone through, I wish only the best for you, Meghan, and those beautiful children. You have and will continue to do great things. The amount of attention you have brought to mental health issues alone is a huge help. it's too bad that in the U.K., you're not allowed to show any emotion. In a time when the world is recognizing mental health, we have the U.K. still in complete denial. Sad really, sad for all of them.

An enchanted story that your never to old to read
Revisado: 12-12-22
I have read many bad reviews from others, and at first I hesitated to give this series a try. I am so glad I did not let the negative reviews stop me. While this is for a younger generation, it's also something that I think any girl/woman can relate to. They don't spend a huge amount of time on the petty problems girls go through at this age. This is about growing girls coming into their own, realizing the importance of solid friends and the importance of accepting people the way they are. I don't regret putting money into these books, I am quite glad I gave them a chance, and anyone who loves Molly Harper should too. While the amount of sarcasm we have come to expect from her usual series is not the same level, there is some in there too, Just not as much. And to be honest it's hard to tell how young these girls truly are, primarily because the author does not dwell on that aspect. A true gem in my opinion.

Something new
Revisado: 11-26-22
I love all of Molly Harper's books, and this one was no different, except. I personally do not enjoy a book that is told in the 3rd person. I don't know what made her change gears after years of writing in the first person, that being said. The overall story was very good, and I can't wait to hear the next installment. I am also not overly fond of the voice of Edison. Again this is a personal preference for me. But her writing won't let you down. I am glad I stuck with it despite my personal preference. It's still a great story.

Historia
Mike Rinder’s parents began taking him to their local Scientology center when he was five years old. After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. Brought to founder L. Ron Hubbard’s yacht and promised training in Hubbard’s most advanced techniques, Rinder was instead put to work swabbing the decks. Still, Rinder bought into the doctrine that his personal comfort was secondary to the higher purpose of Hubbard’s world-saving mission.

Changed my review
Revisado: 11-05-22
*8/24/2024 Revised review* He had a difficult time like everyone else who leaves, unfortunately, recent revelations have made me re-evaluate how bad his time was versus others. He is now in a much better position financially than he was when he was in the cult and to be fair, he did and does deserve some of it, but he also steps on his former ex-cult members to gain some of that wealth. He has shown a bad side of himself that shows that while he left the cult, his mind still works the same way with the cult's logic and that is a problem. I also believe he left many things out that would have damaged how the public views him as a person now. So really how much is he sharing? Enough to gain money and sympathy and not enough to show how cruel he was. I have followed him for over ten years, I was truly disappointed that I had to redefine what kind of person I believe he is now. Since this is an autobiography I believe it's appropriate to change my review/opinion since we base our review on what they conveyed to us.

Great series for overall story
Revisado: 10-01-22
First, I will say overall, this is a great series in regards to the storyline. The unexpected cliffhangers were creative and worth the read. However, Gemma NEVER learns anything. I don't think anyone has ever cried and whined as much as Gemma does in these books. While the terms she uses are properly dated for this time, she uses them so much that it becomes cringe-worthy. She might consider increasing her vocabulary with other terms. There is no need to tell us about Trace's dimples every single time she sees him or thinks about him, (those repeat phrases make me tune out until she is done repeating herself). I have never seen a series where the main character complains, and feel so sorry for herself. For all the good material she puts in these books, she undoes it by the repetitive non stop whining that the main character does. The narrator is okay for the most part but is not consistent with the other people's voices in the books. This also takes away some of the enjoyment. I would think they would listen to a prior book and make sure they use the same tone and overall way she talks as that person. It's a job, they should try to take pride in what they put out there because ultimately I am deterred from future books regardless of who wrote them if I see that narrator again.

Surprising good
Revisado: 06-17-22
This is the final series that ties into three other series. I thought the Dragon Twins was one of the better series out of the four, that being said, the author did a great job pulling everything together and tying up the common thread between all four. At first, when I began listening I found that she used a piece from every supernatural show/book that has been written. It was only because of the constanst twists and turns that I stuck it out at first. I'm not a fan of authors taking others' ideas to get a story done, but she did a good job of using other storylines and making them her own. All in all, I'm glad I stuck with all of the series, it's entertaining, unpredictable, and very enjoyable! I would read other books by her, she has proven her worth!

In the wake of an unthinkable family tragedy, 12-year-old Flavia de Luce is struggling to fill her empty days. For a needed escape, Dogger, the loyal family servant, suggests a boating trip for Flavia and her two older sisters. Something grazes her fingers as she dangles them in the water. She clamps down on the object, imagining herself Ernest Hemingway battling a marlin, and pulls up what she expects will be a giant fish. But in Flavia's grip is something far better: a human head, attached to a human body.

A breath of fresh air!
Revisado: 05-01-22
I have never listened to this type of book before. When I started book 1, I truly did not think I could enjoy a book that came from an 11-year-old's perspective. I could not have been more wrong. I found myself going through all 10 books in under 3 months. And as I write this review, I wish there were more coming. Flavia is one unique, witty and brilliant girl, who grabs hold of you and does not let go! I highly recommend this series for adults, yes adults, because the storylines in my opinion are for adults. Don't let this young girl fool you, this is a true gem, and you are in for the ride of your life.

Good read
Revisado: 05-01-22
First and foremost, the narrator did a wonderful job and that is the only reason one of the categories has a four-star. On to the real issues.
This series ended up being better than I thought it would be. The story was definitely different, which is the only thing that saved this book. The writer took pieces from every show, and supernatural series out there. It's pretty clear, that she copies the show the Originals, True Blood, the books from A shade of Vampire, Sookie Stackhouse, and so on. I would have more respect for the writer if she came up with her own scenarios instead of grabbing pieces from others. But as I said the overall story ended up surprising me. Had she not had a huge change of course in the fourth book, I would have rated everything except the narrator a one.

Although it is autumn in the small English town of Bishop’s Lacey, the chapel is decked with exotic flowers. Yes, Flavia de Luce’s sister, Ophelia, is at last getting hitched, like a mule to a wagon. “A church is a wonderful place for a wedding”, muses Flavia, “surrounded as it is by the legions of the dead, whose listening bones bear silent witness to every promise made at the altar.”

Loved the book
Revisado: 11-25-21
This type of book is not something I thought I would ever like. I started with them in late August and have since finished the last book. I hope more books come out. I loved that he is slowly having Flavia grow into a young lady and putting her and Dogger together in this one was a real treat. My only regret is, she doesn't have either of her parents. I had a hard time with the way book eight ended. And was caught completely off guard on how it wrapped up. If he puts another book out, I will definitely read it. They are true gems!
