I do not usually listen to these type of performances, but I was hooked from the beginning. Dan Rather is a remarkable man and to hear him tell about so many important times in history, and in the present, was awesome. I highly recommend everyone to treat themselves to this wonderful audiobook. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Story!

I really enjoyed this story of Cassandra and Tom! The story was filled with funny moments, sweet moments, and romance. I especially liked that Tom was different, and loved watching him try to figure out, with all of his intelligence, how to win over Cassandra. Mary Jane Wells, did an awesome job of narrating the story. Her narration gave an extra delightful level to the story. She was able to give each character their own voice and I loved the way she expressed the emotions and actions of the story. Her narration pulled me into an already wonderful story. I think this was another win for both the author and the narrator!

Excellent Story and Narration!

What a wonderful story! I love how Justin and Helena first met, and from there, the story only got better and better. The story had it all ~ secrets, rescues, redemption, love, intrigue, and adventures, which made it hard to stop listening too. I can't wait to read the rest in this series. The narrator did an awesome job bringing the story to life. Each character had their own personalities and voices making it a pleasure to listen to and get lost in the story.

Wonderful and sweet historical romance

I’ve enjoyed listening to the books in this series. I listen to all types of stories, but every now and then it’s so nice to listen to a story such as this that takes you back in time when things were a bit different. This sweet historical romance has all the components of a good story. A little intrigue, good guys, bad guys, romance, and a happily ever after. It was a treat to listen to this story that Scott brought to life with his warm soothing voice. I've always enjoyed listening to him narrate a story, as he brings each character to life with each of their own emotions and voices. I look forward to listening to another one.

I really enjoyed this story! Once I started listening, it was hard for me to stop. It had a little bit of everything to keep you engaged ~ mystery, romance, good guys, bad guys, and twist and turns in the plot. And the narrator, J. Scott Bennett did a a wonderful job, as usual, voicing all of the characters. His performance helped to make the story even more enjoyable.

What made the experience of listening to Heroes Live Forever the most enjoyable?

The story is well crafted and wonderful, and listening to Tim Campbell bring it to life made it so enjoyable. It adds another dimension to the story when it is performed with a talented narrator who's voice fits the characters, and listening to his deep voice is amazing.

What other book might you compare Heroes Live Forever to and why?

I don't mind time travel books, but it's not my favorite, but when handled well, it becomes so believable, like this one. I guess it could be compared to some of Karen Moning's Highlander novels, or Kathryn LeVeque's Crusader series, which are also believable time travel novels.

Have you listened to any of Tim Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listened to several by Tim Campbell and love when he narrates! As for this story, he also did an amazing job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is a bit long for one sitting, so I didn't. The story is a little more complex and I enjoy savoring it, rather than finishing it all in one day. Although I'll admit, it was hard to put down once I started it.

Any additional comments?

I thought this book was well worth the credit and loved the story and the narration! I look forward to reading another story by Chris Karlsen.

5 Stars Three Times for the Rose Sisters!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Keeneston Roses to be better than the print version?

Eric G. Dove does a fantastic job of bringing each character to life! Having this wonderful story performed by him gives the story a new level of life. He made me laugh, cry, and a smile with his performance.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of the characters are my favorite. Each has a special place in my heart.

Which character – as performed by Eric G. Dove – was your favorite?

It is so hard to pick a favorite, but the Rose sisters and Ahmed are at the top of the list ...and of course, Will, Mo, Cole, Cade, Marshall, Miles, Pierce, Cy and all the gals!

Any additional comments?

After reading and listening to several of the Bluegrass books by Kathleen Brooks, I would have to encourage anyone who enjoys a good story, with lots of fun, adventure, excitement, and love to give these a try. I think each one has been well worth my credits!

I also have been awaiting the release of DreamFever. I enjoyed Joyce Bean, but found she was a bit too southern. I prefer Natalie Ross and find that she does an outstanding job with Mac, as well as all of the female voices. I think she portrays Mac as I expected because of the way she is described. Phil Gigantie is wonderful! He puts such emotion into each line and each character is different. I was blown-away by the way he voiced some of the characters. Together they make an awesome team that performed the book, rather than just read it. I loved listening to it! All in all, it's by far, one of the best audiobooks I've listened too.
