Attacked and injected with a drug that slows his metabolism to a fraction of normal, Martin James becomes an unwilling time traveler who hurtles through the years. His children grow up, his wife grows older, and his only hope is finding the people who injected him in the first place - not an easy task when one day for Martin lasts four years. And while Martin James strives to find a cure before everyone he loves is gone, others are uncertain if his journey can be stopped at all.

Historia
Nutshell is a classic story of murder and deceit, told by a narrator with a perspective and voice unlike any in recent literature. A bravura performance, it is the finest recent work from a true master. To be bound in a nutshell, see the world in two inches of ivory, in a grain of sand. Why not, when all of literature, all of art, of human endeavour, is just a speck in the universe of possible things?

This acclaimed best seller from popular historian Alison Weir is a fascinating look at the Tudor family dynasty and its most infamous ruler. The Six Wives of Henry VIII brings to life England’s oft-married monarch and the six wildly different but equally fascinating women who married him. Gripping from the first sentence to the last and loaded with fascinating details, Weir’s rich history is a perfect blend of scholarship and entertainment.

So satisfying . Fascinating .

When I first started listening I was a little disappointed as I wanted the experience of being swept away in a narrative , and not just a lot of facts joined together. Didn't take long for me to get totally absorbed and highly respectful of Alison Weir. I will listen to more. Narrator is excellent.

Very unusual story. There was not a huge plot ... Just beautiful writing that meanders till the end. I will be looking for more from this author... And the narrator was perfect.

Historia
Northern Ireland, spring 1981. Hunger strikes, riots, power cuts, a homophobic serial killer with a penchant for opera, and a young woman’s suicide that may yet turn out to be murder: on the surface, the events are unconnected, but then things—and people—aren’t always what they seem. Detective Sergeant Duffy is the man tasked with trying to get to the bottom of it all. It’s no easy job—especially when it turns out that one of the victims was involved in the IRA but was last seen discussing business with someone from the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force.

Needs lots of editing. Can not recommend it at all. Like a really long drawn out telly movie with unbelievable characters and lots of cringe factor. An endurance test for me. And I know that it got such rave reviews from other audible listeners!!!!! ??????

It took me a while to get used to Kingsolver's voice. Beautiful writing and I learned a lot about a part of history that i was misinformed about. I didnt want it to end and i know i will listen to it again. This is in my top five audible books.
