Great plot

I read a # of Don Winslow’s books & I think this is my favorite. Lots of tongue in cheek humor, if you like Elmore Leonard, you’ll like this! Narrator was perfect.

Outstanding
Revisado: 09-28-20
McKinty writes with the rich descriptive verse as James Lee Burke. This is a full bodied, completely satisfying wrap up to The Dead Yard, well written and well performed. I suggest reading Dead Yard first, but it stands alone as a great story.

If you like a flawed hero...

You'll enjoy the rough antics of this coke-addicted, ex-detective turned PI. Plausible plot involving suburban teenage girls hanging out w the wrong crowd and the parents desperate to find them. You'll never look at grapefruit the same way again.
