Excellent story, great world building, good MC.
Revisado: 04-05-25
This is my second time reading this book 1st through K U, and now Audible. The audible version was great, the narrator was excellent, a woman reading a story about a female MC, well done. I see both authors, handiwork, and fingerprints on his story. I love both of the authors of the works, including arc which is my favorite storyline. You guys need to give the MC some sort of dimensional storage to carry all her junk around. And as a woman she needs to be able to take baths and stay clean when my wife was listening to this book she was having a fit concerning the lack of cleanliness for the female MC. There. Are a few glitches in the sentence structure in some portions, but it does not take you out of the story. Hope the second book comes out on Audible real soon. Really worth the listen and the read, you won’t go wrong.

Historia
With less than a month left to prepare the Earth for what is about to happen, Silas must pull out all the stops to save as many people as possible. Of course, if one system wasn't bad enough, Earth has been declared a contested world. Now, it isn't just the Earth competing any longer but at least two systems trying to gain control of the Earth.

Good story, except for the MC who is 27 running around like an overactive hormonal teenager
Revisado: 03-02-25
Like the story, like the power progression, I didn’t like a 27 year old grown man acting like a 14-year-old teenager with overactive hormones. I thought it was glossed over that the MC felt guilty that he left his subordinate hanging out in the wind fighting for his life while the MC, was getting his Willie wet. This is not how a 27 year-old man is supposed to act especially someone who is trying to lead the planet through induction. in the story, the character should’ve been castigating himself for what he had done. That’s what happens in books that are written with great character development. That was my main flaw with the story besides that the book was very well done. The narrator was excellent as usual.

Likable, MC, great storyline, fast paced
Revisado: 01-22-25
First of all performance was excellent. The narrator was great. Another great installment in the series. I like this book just as much as I did the first. The story was well done. The locals are buried and the characters are well written. It’s RPG, crafting, love story all rolled up in one book. Now, unfortunately, I gotta wait for the next book in the series. If you have not read the first book, I urge you to do so and then go on and read this one.

Sen defeated an elder of the Soaring Skies Sect and saved the mortals in the Silver Crane. What should have been a moment to bask in success came crashing down around him when he inadvertently exposed a demonic cultivator cabal. Realizing that a moving target is harder to strike, Sen flees into the wilds with Lifen and Lo Meifeng in tow. There, he’ll learn that not all enemies want to take your life and not every threat can be met with the edge of a blade.

Great MC, good coming-of-age story, excellent world building and side characters.
Revisado: 12-12-24
First of all, let me say that I own all four of these books in the series and of course, first of all the narrator is excellent. The second reason I give this book 5 stars is the MC, the storyline, and the events that happened during the book. This is, of course the story about an unexpected cultivator, is coming of age and learning things are not always what he expects them to be. the story is full of warmth, laughter, some action and is basically enjoyable. you can’t help but like the MC and his traveling companions in this story. Most enjoyable will continue to add these books to my collection, it is well worth the read.

Fast paced, could use a little bit more character development as well as RPG elements.
Revisado: 10-22-24
First of all, the narrator is excellent. Good vocal characteristics, no siblings, no mashing of words. The story could’ve used a little bit of editing, but the narrator did the best with what she had. The book is good, I don’t know why I enjoyed it so much because there are story elements missing. We need to know a little bit more about the MC and how she came to be and was picked for this line of work. Because of these missing story elements the book starts off fast, it just drops you into the pot. is basically about two friends getting together learning about each other, a coming of age story. the MC just wants a quiet life, but can’t have one. A psychic is a lonely, noble girl who has no friends. The book has good, touching elements of friendship and character development. MC comes off as a bit stilted and socially awkward, which seems to be the trend in a lot of these books lately. I particularly like the book because the character. is OP I can basically do whatever she wants. It doesn’t mean that she can’t get beaten and get hurt, but she always comes out on top, my type of book. if you like a book with a female OP protagonist, don’t be a sexist, read this book. You will enjoy it.

Great story but ended sort of in the middle
Revisado: 07-27-24
Enjoy the MC sensible, smart, intelligent, good world building, but to be a little bit jarring because it takes place in a different scenario or world. Enjoy the story and action as far as it went. Didn’t like the abrupt ending of the book. it seems like it just dropped off a cliff. Will read the next one which is out already.

She's unlike any one or any thing else: a Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer aka NSLICE-00P. The first of her kind, she's let loose into a universe of superheroes on behalf of her sinister masters to destroy all who oppose them. And everything's going according to plan—until NSLICE-00P gets hacked and sent into the past to kill her own creator before he creates her. Obeying orders as always, she wastes the poor guy. Unfortunately, there are consequences to initiating a reality-breaking time paradox. The most significant: total ejection from that reality.

Fun fast paced, very enjoyable.
Revisado: 05-17-24
First of all, the narrator is awesome. She does a very passable Boris bad enough from Rocky and Bullwinkle and a fantastic airhead spider. She brings the humor out in the story. The story is excellent well done, no profanity, no sex, if you want a really light romp that’s very enjoyable on the same vein as system change and other books up that elk with an overpowered character, you will enjoy this book, don’t miss it.

Historia
Lucas was shocked when he awoke to find the world had ended. An alien AI called the System had taken over Earth and transformed his apartment building into a 100-floor dungeon tower of traps, monsters, and loot. Trapped at the top, Lucas and the other residents have just one year to reach the ground floor and escape before the tower self-destructs. That’s his first problem. The second is he slept through the System’s welcome orientation, so a Class was picked for him. Lucas is now a Blood Reaver. A brutal Class based on speed, ferocity, and striking from the shadows.

The story was good, but the MC was pathetic.
Revisado: 03-10-24
The MC was a moron. He could not carry the story, he had to always get bailed out by his associates. A MC should be able to carry the story and bail his associates out of trouble. Did not seem to know what was going on, don’t know why the author wrote him this way. The story is self was interesting and I’d like to see the MC grow and I will probably read the next book if there is one. The narrators were awesome.

Historia
We were outnumbered, outfought. Mankind was about to fall to the alien Flock. Our only chance was a desperate gamble, transforming Tier One SpecOps agents into deadly super soldiers. In the end, we won the war, but we lost the peace. The Flock surrendered and spent the next two hundred years making reparations, indentured to humanity, doing everything humans did not want to do. And the evolved super soldiers were consigned to an endless sleep. Ready if ever needed, but in time they became myths. Abandoned and forgotten.

Excellent story, very verbose, no real action till the end of the book.
Revisado: 09-30-23
Enjoy the story immensely. But I have some caveat. First of all the narrator, Ray Porter was excellent as always. The story was very long, very character, driven heavily and very verbose. There wasn’t a lot of action till the end of the book. A lot of questions remain. Of course, I do believe the book was slow because of world building, which happens in the first books of a new series. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered in the upcoming books, but it was well worth the read.
