Historia
The city streets are no longer safe. They are filled instead with the living dead, rotting predators driven only by a need to kill and eat. Some of the living still struggle to survive, but with each passing day, their odds grow worse. Some survivors have fled, frantically searching for a place to escape, even briefly, the slaughter around them.

Fairly solid story that really crushes hope.
Revisado: 10-07-23
It was a fairly solid story. I didn’t need reminded that the Main Character was Gay and Black several times throughout the story because it broke the immersion when it did happen. But I really liked how the virus adapted to cross the Zoonotic Barrier until not even the birds were safe from the virus which gave a sense of hopelessness. Over all fairly decent story with a couple shortcomings but I enjoyed it. Also… Zombie whale…

Surrounded and outgunned, a group of private military contractors known as “Strange Company” find themselves on a remote planet at the edge of known space, and on the losing end of a bad contract. Orbital D-beam strikes, dropships bristling with auto-guns, missiles, and troops - even Monarch space marines in state-of-the-art advanced battle rattle - will try to prevent the company from reaching the exfil LZ and getting off-world.

Can’t wait for book 2
Revisado: 01-10-22
I loved this book. I mostly know Cole from Galaxy’s Edge. While it was a bit wordy I still loved it because Cole made the characters even the minor ones feel like real people like I was apart of Strange Company. Also my favorite line was “Even though he committed war crimes, He committed them really well.” I don’t know why I thought it was funny.

Historia
On the edge of the galaxy, a diplomatic mission to an alien planet takes a turn when the Legionnaires, an elite special fighting force, find themselves ambushed and stranded behind enemy lines. They struggle to survive under siege, waiting on a rescue that might never come. In the seedy starport of Ackabar, a young girl searches the crime-ridden gutters to avenge her father's murder; not far away, a double-dealing legionniare-turned-smuggler hunts an epic payday; and somewhere along the outer galaxy, a mysterious bounty hunter lies in wait.

Loved every moment
Revisado: 02-01-21
What I loved?
I loved how this book kept me on the edge of my seat with the action and I felt that RC Bray did a fantastic job narrating. I loved how the story gave the legionnaires a sense of humanity despite their training and it’s a fantastic story that had me invested and I felt sad but as the tag line goes, “the Galaxy is a dumpster fire.”
