Historia
Some time in the not so distant future, the world as we know it is starting to unravel. The United States is mired in unwinnable wars, gas is scarce and the transportation system grinds to a halt. Homegrown terrorists take out the electric grid. Food is strictly rationed and distributed by the military. As citizens grow increasingly angry with the government, martial law is called in to maintain peace. And then things really start to get bad. Learn more about your ad choices. Sounds like a bunch of lefty propaganda about how the government is your friend. The guys that support the Constitution are terrorist loons. Don't waste your time

Historia
Rocket stocks are the shortest path to wealth in the stock market. And yet many traders and investors miss out on them. Or trade them the wrong way and get wiped out. Have you ever wished that you could find the next Tesla or Apple? Have you ever stood on the sidelines and watched a stock rocket higher? You were paralyzed for many days, afraid to buy. And then you finally bought the stock, only to watch it crash lower. I used to do this too, until I figured out exactly when to buy and sell these stocks.

This book is a must have!

I listened to the entire book once, then went back thru and took notes. It is easy for a novice to understand and also gives some great sources to refer to for stats on particular stocks. Matt will also return your emails if you have any questions.

Historia
In Alberta, Canada, at the foot of Dead Horse Mountain, a space capsule is discovered - a capsule that shouldn't exist. Thirty years earlier, Dr. Jan Lee, American entrepreneur and space tourist, purportedly destroyed this craft when he blew up the International Space Station in an act of unexplained sabotage. That event has since inspired conspiracy theories ranging from espionage to alien invasion.

Original plot.
Revisado: 01-02-16
What did you like best about Landfall? What did you like least?
The attention to detail. Seems like the author did his research. Unfortunately some of the science was confusing at times. Had to listen to some parts a couple of times to be sure what was what. Thought some of the things special agent Cole did were unrealistic.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The ending was ok. I thought everything was tied up nicely.
What does Paul Heitsch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He did a good job on the narration. Differentiated well between characters and male and female.
Do you think Landfall needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No I think everything was pretty well wrapped up.

Would make an outstanding television series
Revisado: 01-02-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, if they were into this genre. The first thing I did when I finished this book was go looking for the next in the series. My only complaint is I wish the book had been a little longer.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Quincy of course. Just like his "what the hell' attitude.
What does James Foster bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He didn't just read the book. It was a performance. That's the best kind of narrator in my opinion, someone who can make you forget you're being read to
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
That's exactly what I did.
Any additional comments?

Historia
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

Revisado: 10-17-15
This kind of reminded me of some of Michael Creighton's work. It is the first in a series and started out pretty strong. Seems like it was pretty well researched. Hope the next in the series is as good as this one. I will be picking it up when it comes out. Jeffrey Kafer did an awesome job with the narration. He helped make the story come alive with just the right amount of emotional inflection. He also does male, female, and children's voices equally well. Hope to hear more from him.

Historia
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.
