A Pleasent Suprise

Being one of the over 60 crowd this was a book I really enjoyed. And to be honest I should say the over 70 crowd. Well written and enough action without being hard to believe. I really enjoyed the nuances of the characters and how the author blended them together so well.

Slow to start but loved the book

Really interesting story. I love this series and took me a few chapters to get into the story. No violence but the intertwined story really caught my interest and enjoyed every minute of it. Really well written.

Unique story line that really held my interest

There is something special about books performed by Julia Whelan. There is that special talent she has that allows her characters to feel familiar and believable. Like the next door neighbor who could be an accountant, a truck driver or an assassin. Their story line always makes perfect sense.
In this book we again have the superb narration of Ms. Whelan but her insight of a very relevant story she wrote.
Highly recommend pure entertainment.

Hard not to enjoy the simple storyline and large intertwined family personalities. Enjoy how the author involves the characters from past story's to meld with new situations. Fun listen.

Just the right book at the tight time. Really enjoyed the interaction of all the characters and the built in mystery. One of those books that will win no prizes but a very comfortable listen.

Such a light feel good story

How could you not love a down to the roots "nice" story. The characters were well presented and so nice to listen and allow a smile to end up on my face. Nothing adventurous or dangerous like I'm normally listening to but as I said, Feel Good.
