I love Abby’s books and I thought Part of Your World was her best work yet but I was wrong. This one breaks me into so many pieces before I was put together again and the narration really elevates her story telling to a different level. It’s the tender moments and the letters they exchanged that will stay with me forever. She puts so much of her lived experience into her writing that I always know I will get the authentic self. It’s genuinely touching and insightful and one of my top listen for the year.

Grumpy sunshine trope at its best

If you know Lucy Score she excels at writing the grumpy sunshine trope. Her grump are on a next level of perfection but Knox is that next level grump. No one does Grump like Sebyo so it’s a coup when she gets him to narrate Knox. This book has some of my all time favorite secondary characters in Waylay and Wayland. The things that come out of her mouth are priceless! You can never go wrong with Lucy’s book because she writes some of the best slow burn out there. The zingers and nuggets she throws at you are simply priceless.

Nash & Lina being vulnerable is romance gold

The long awaited follow up to TWINGO is finally here and what a triumphant follow up it is. Lucy doesn’t write short book and it’s always slow burn to a flare up with nuggets of witty one liners and a school of the best secondary characters you can find. Whether it’s the soccer game scene or the Girls Day out with Stef at the biker bar it is pure Lucy and just romance gold.

But back to Nash and Lina. Take a depressed and anxious Chief of Police and a kick ass and secretive insurance investigator with a secret health history and it’s everything I could ask for in a romance novel. They showed so much vulnerability that it’s truly breathtaking. They really tag on my heartstrings and make me cheer for their HEA.

Be prepared to snort laugh and grab some Kleenex because that’s how Lucy rolls. I can’t wait for Lucy and Sloane’s book because the hate and snark will be epic!

Tentacle canpy rom com at its best! Stellar

Chloe Archer is a new to me author but Greg is my favorite so it’s a no brainer and what a ride! It’s Greg at his canpiest and every voice is unique. He really captured the irrelevance tone so well. I laughed so hard at the cheerleading inner monologue. One of my favorite listen and what a way to start the new year. Can’t wait for Book 2 to hit audio.

A highly enjoyable suspenseful MFM romance

Honestly this is a story to best go in blind because it makes all the twists and turns in the story so much more enjoyable. I was hooked from the opening scene and really got sucked into the back story.

The superb casting is what’s draws me in because Jason, Conor and Stella are some of my favorite narrators and they are just soo good together. And they did in duet format too! That just elevated the story even more.#narratordriven

I love that even though Peyton is in her mid twenties her lived experience has given her the edge and hardness that she needs to face these two alpha males. It made the pairing more believable. I love the softer Sam who contrasts well with the jaded Gab. The buildup to the consummation of their relationship is a moment worth waiting for.

Overall I really enjoyed this audiobook and I plan to seek out the others in the Southern Night series once they are in audio.

A signature Sarina romance- heart warming with all the feels

Sarina is a one click author for me. Her books never disappoint. Take this one, you take a fake marriage trope and then you later on hurt/comfort, sexy banter and killer secondary characters who are fully developed. When she writes a billionaire you. An guarantee that he is not a douche and will surprise you at every turn. Charley has so much baggage and mistrust at the start of the book that it’s such a joy to see bloom and peel back her layers to review who she is and I love her more.

Vanessa is wonderful as Charley and she made me feel all the feels. Jason is perfect as Neil especially the tenderness he has towards Charley.

This can listen as a stand-alone but if you like Hockey romance the whole series is a must so that you can get into all the cameos.

Delightful short

I first read the story when it was released serially through Sarina’s newsletter and I was hooked on Emily and Jimbo’s story immediately. The MCs are delightful and the meet cute is so original! All the bruisers players had a cameo in this book which is so much fun! It’s amazing how much details are in the story and I love every minute of it. Thank you for the wonderful casting too! It’s nice to hear an Asian narrating Emily. :)

Low angst & flirtatious fun

What a sweet and dreamy romance from two of my favorite writers. Just the catnip that I needed. So many fun inside jokes on a Wall Street nerd and a swoony ex footballer/photographer. Love the pairing and the snarky banter. Having #jeddy narrate it is just the icing on the cake. thank you for writing French dialogue into the books and made them speak French. :) J’dore!

All the feels (and tears) for this holiday romance

Please do heed my warning on the tissues and feels for this story. Lucy wrote this initially as part of the world of hope falls series and it was re-released as a novella but you don’t have to read the series to get into the story. If you like lovable extended family, quirky heroine, peewee hockey and the shenanigans, this is a must read.

The loss of a loved is felt all throughout the book so if that’s a trigger for you maybe save it for later. Sophie’s narration was superb and elevates Lucy’s story. I have read the stories thrice before and I still ugly cried. Lucy tends to write girthy book so this is like a short story for her. If you have never read her books this is a wonderful introduction to her books. Highly recommended!

One of the best enemies to lovers mm story

First of all disclaimer I love Lucy Lennox and she is an auto buy for me. She writes some of the most quirky, snarky characters and she has such a great catalog of wonderful books.

This is a stand-alone enemies to lovers mm romance that hits all my sweet spots. Ellison is a sympathetic MC who did something that caused Grey to hate him so much that he did a hostile takeover of Eli’s family company to take revenge. I love how she got them into situations that really build up the tension and gives me the feels.

Thank you Lyric for casting Teddy as Ellison and Sean as Grey. They really elevates the story with their narration. I never thought I love the awkward Teddy so much! Alpha and growly Sean is always so fun to listen to.

I relistened to the third act of the stories thrice because I just love it so much. If you like a well written, smart and well researched story that has quirky characters and gives you all the feels, this is the book for you.
