Bro, if you happen to read this, you are hands down my favorite author. I have read, NEARLY everything you've written. vaquiero necromancer, pilgrim, and the loop, are my favorite, and now this. the only ones I haven't read is cat island and cherry blossom girls. i don't understand how you're not a household name. I buy whatever you make, except those previously mentioned titles. in my honest opinion, you are the greatest writer doing the dang Thang.
Thank you for writing. You help me see your world in ways other authors (myself included) ((wannabe anyways)) only wish they could.
HONEST REVIEW
This series is yet another reason Harmon Cooper is always worth the credit, or purchase. period. the last hour and a half, I was frickin glued to this book. the ending was an epic cliffhanger. I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK, if there is one. the performance was perfect, just like the other 2 books. the worlds and characters are visual and immersive. the story, while funny and greatly entertaining, will also make you feel great sadness, happiness, anger, some smugness, and the feeling you just read a dang good time!!
We are the maddest lads.

Despite the best efforts of their enemies, the city of Liberty still stands, and now Ryan Rosa and the rest of his guild are hell-bent on making sure they can withstand anything the guilds throw at them. But can they withstand the challenges the game has in store for them? Danger doesn't just come from other players...

there are a lot of tropes that seem to be directly borrowed from other, older litrpg and gamelit series. but to me, that is the beauty of this genre. it's almost like one big story, told from many perspectives. this series is very well done in my honest opinion. I just hope this story had an end, as that is one of the biggest issues I have with this genre. I love the characters, the world, the story, and definitely the extremely talented MacLeod Andrews. love this series. can't wait for more.

Historia
Up until now, Montana's gotten by pretending he's a regular guy. Well, a regular, overpowered, god-defeating guy who maybe just learned his hair is in all the wrong places. But the big city is calling, and in order to succeed there, Montana must actually prove himself a deserving duke. If Glaton finds him lacking, Coggeshall could be forced into even further isolation. But if Glaton falls in love with him, the regular guy from Motor City could end up with limitless power, in charge of it all. And just like that, the fate of the entire Empire is in Montana's hands.

You used to be my favorite author. the last 9 books in this series have all been filler short stories. We can all tell you are milking this tale. I have been waiting for the story to progress in any meaningful way for 9 tiny books. you drastically inflate dumb stories, shorten books, inflate crap so these books can continue to simply make money. where is your art? I am so dissapointed in you, and this story. I'm so sick of this bullshlaka nothing that is in the synopsis is in the book... AGAIN. This is the last time you make money from me, which really hurts. because I LOVE Montana. most of the core characters are gone, new bullshlaka every book. more contrived sub plots. I mean we waited like 3 books to meet the super weasels, and they've been mentioned like 3 times in the next 4 books. this is too much for a former hardcore fan. goodbye sir, and I will miss the way you used to be. not that you care about me, or my opinion. I'm just a dude that bought EVERY book you wrote. not any more.

All he has to do is unlock the power he’s stolen. But it seems that restoring the Seed to its former glory is easier said than done. Something has gone wrong, and it’s up to Digby to fix it, whether he wants to or not.

filler diller
Revisado: 06-28-22
this book is a terrible filler/money grab. the first 3 books were really good. this entire book was boring, overinflated, slow and definitely not worth the money, or the time I waited excited for the next installment. I don't think I will continue this series because of the crap litrpg authors have all started to do.
my favorite genre is becoming a sad joke in front of my eyes. great stories exist for 1-2 books... in 15 book series. they get shorter and shorter, with less and less of the story that made us enjoy their worlds. they start inflating the storyline with garbage subplots, extending the num er of books while we wait years to read the whole story and the main storyline is forgotten and these books just keep getting pumped out. Eric ugland, harmon Cooper, aleron kong, Michael Chatfield, this dude, and many many more. I've read Hundreds of litrpg, and gamelit novels, and this crap is starting to become normal. I'm so disgusted with this shameful extortion these dudes are committing against the very people who love their talent.

ok. so this series is very frustrating. its one of my top 3 in litrpg... that being said, it feels like we wait 2 years between books. I'm sure that's not the case... but it feels that way. it's very frustrating. Jim has the patience of a saint... but I don't. cmon Ryan...

Straight out of the West (or, you know, somewhere through a gloom portal), in a thunder of hooves (but they're kinda like giant turtle hooves, if you can picture it?), comes Montana Coggeshall, gun (sword) slinger. Sure, he's survived Fiends' Night and an all-out goblin war. But for his people in Coggeshall to truly be safe, Montana needs to go out and find the source of all these crazy attacks.

Eric, you are literally one of my favorite authors of all time. I have read your entire library available on audible. roseland is one of my favorite series... but this series (the good guys) has been feeling like nothing will ever actually happen. Montana is one of my favorite characters of all time. it's been about 6 books in the series that have felt like you have no intention of this story finding any kind of ending, or any real progress. major plot points from each book go nowhere. major happenings are forgotten. you build the whole book for 20 minutes of storyline resolution, in the last 21 minutes of the book. then, all of the major points of the previous book are simply walked away from. as one of your biggest fans. I am starting to think I won't go any further with this series, as well the bad guy series. that decision really hurts me to consider. but it's like a 96 year old person trying to tell you a story they heard 82 years ago, and have since lost their memory. like, where is his boon shield, and sword?!?!?! super weasels. 4 books in, and this is the first time they do anything and it's like 30 whole minutes of the book. that is a plot line that's been in the last 4 or so books. the 2 gifts given in this book, go nowhere. was this book about the master? who knows??? we've only heard about him being looked for, for a few minutes of the last 3 or 4 books. the magic building... the golden girls held onto plots better, and progressed faster. 12 books, and it feels like we've gotten 6 books of actual goodness. 6 books of sad filler. come on sir... please stop making us your bank account, and give us a story as only you can tell. please...
