Historia
Preston and Constance Whittier have built a happy life together, with a brood of six children raised in a beautiful historic Manhattan mansion. Now, with a nearly empty nest, it’s easier than ever for the Whittiers to maintain their tradition of a solo romantic “Wintermoon” ski trip. But with this year’s trip comes tragedy, and suddenly the Whittier’s adult children find themselves reuniting in the family home without their parents for the first time ever. The eldest four are forced to put aside their personal issues and their grief to keep the family together.

One of the best she has ever written!
Revisado: 11-28-22
Really enjoyed this book! I’ve read just about everything she has written so far and while my favorite will always be Zoya which I read 3 times, this is a close second! Highly recommend!

Historia
Iris Cooper has been singing ever since she can remember, hitting the high notes like no one else. At twelve, her father convinces the owner of a bar in Lake City, Texas, to let her perform, and she stuns the audience. In the ensuing years, never staying anywhere for long, they move from one dusty town to the next, her passion for music growing every time she takes the mike in another roadhouse. But it is not an easy life with her father in charge and using her income to pay for gambling, women, and booze.

Great Book just one problem
Revisado: 10-21-22
This was a great book and I really enjoyed it except for one part. I am from Biloxi, Mississippi the city that is continually referenced in the story which was great however the narrator mispronounced “Biloxi” every time he mentioned it. It’s not BullOxE it’s pronounced “Ba lux e” and we are from the coast of Mississippi so we do NOT have the strong southern drawl of northern MS it’s closer to a New Orleans accent. Just wish they would have the narrator do a bit of research before he got started. It was a great book but threw me off each time I hear him say Biloxi or try to do the Biloxi accent.

Really enjoyed this book!

As with al Daniel Steel books the story line was great and I always seem to immerse myself into the story so much that I feel like I’m there. She is the only author that really gets to me with her stories and I relate to so many of them.
