Good Story and Good Narration, buuut…
Revisado: 09-08-24
Hopefully author and narrator reads this. This was a real good story for the first in the series. Would have liked to see more world building and gradual development of MC. Instead we have a OPMC right off the bat. Especially considering the two characters that made one were wimps. The story had much more potential. But this is all just small stuff. I don’t necessarily hate stories that have OPMCs. That said let’s move on to narration. I gave her 4 stars. She was really good and she sounds almost exactly like Sierra Kline. I had to do a double check to make sure. The reason for the 4 stars is I feel she gave a deeper voice to characters that should have been higher. Sometimes the MC had a higher voice than his wives or daughter. His daughter for sure should have had a higher upbeat kid voice than a low voice. So that’s it. If you correct that and it would be right on!

Historia
Dragon’s Envoy David Slinger, Em, and their friends continue to face new challenges and opportunities. But with new opportunities, old rivals and animosities return. They must also remain vigilant to the growing threat of the dark priests and their thirst for power. It seems very few can be trusted, as everyone has their own agenda.

Good but requires more thoughtful organizing and world building
Revisado: 06-13-24
For the most part, this is another fairly good book from the author. Every book so far that i have read of his usually has an overpowered MC. And I don’t necessarily have a problem with it. That said, this is the only series I have seen or listened to by him. As such author should have put much more emphasis into character development and would building. Could have let the character build his power more gradually. Instead as soon as he gets magic he can defeat any foe and has all the answers. Also as he is supposed to be carrying around a baby dragon inside him. If this is the case, why does the dragon know everything and how to perform all the spells. If it a racial memory it needs more explanation. Also its odd that he can use magic in every element. To close, even if there are some things that should have been thought out more, its a good series so far. I think the author should make doing series a permanent change. At least a minimum of 2. Many of his books are good and should have been expanded. They were good and to short.

I was hanging out with some buddies, doing a little caving, when everything went south. When I woke up, I was in some kind of medieval dungeon. Totally naked and in the dark. Luckily, I had a neighbor in a cell near me. One with a decidedly sexy feminine voice. When she explained to me that she was due to be executed and I was in line to be brainwashed, there was only one thing to do.

Cannot Pin Down
Revisado: 02-13-23
I don’t know exactly what did this book in for me. I have tried to get through it but I just can’t. The voices are pretty monotonous. As far as the story so far its chick and dude runs through woods naked and can never get clothes cause bad guys are not his size. And it’s the same cycle every 10 or 15 min. Couple runs, fights bad guys, no clothes, talk about sex or masturbation, then is attacked. Then they do it over and over. No particular incident is written well enough to pull the reader or listener in. Others may like this book, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Historia
Will James has had an interesting summer so far. He met a ghost, resurrected her, and took her for a girlfriend. She is a witch who died in 1891. She tells him he’s a necromancer. His occasional hookup becomes a full-time hookup. He meets an angel. He resurrects another ghost. His out-of-town girlfriend turns out to be a sorceress. He ties his boss up at a workshop, and she likes it. All these ladies want Will. What’s a guy to do? Create a harem of strong, talented women, of course.

Love Story but Cringe at Narration
Revisado: 02-04-23
As stated in heading, I enjoy most of authors stories, but the narrators should have been better. Especially as this series was the first ones from the author on audible. Saxon Man series had much better audio.

Could have been much better
Revisado: 01-15-23
The story itself is quite good. Unfortunately, whoever listened to the proof before it was released missed a lot of errors. And not little ones either. Many sentences were repeated by the narrator, several chapters had conversations where the female narrator voice was over top of the conversation and things transpiring at that moment. Then a bit further in the chapter the female narrator voice is missing from a conversation that is supposedly happening, making the male sound like he is talking to himself. If it was one spot or chapter it would be one thing. Unfortunately it happened quite a bit. Also there is several longer than average pauses. In my opinion, this is a good story significantly stunted by sloppy editing. It’s not the performance of the narrators. I feel that it should be taken down immediately and corrected and then resubmitted. If things on Amazon and audible rely so much on a books reviews, then it’s just going to acquire further negative reviews if left unfixed.

Not this authors best work.
Revisado: 07-12-22
First, I have enjoyed authors previous series but this one unfortunately fell short. I don’t feel this books world building and MCs were thought out as much as other titles. I don’t understand why authors continue to put in words, titles and names into worlds that are not transferable from ours unless MC is transported there from ours or to a different time. Even then, it should be done carefully. If someone is writing about a totally different world, the characters shouldn’t know what a virgin is. Or in the case of this book, the MC calls his pet bear Hercules! Why would a Roman hero name be in this world. Also things just happened at to quick of a pace. Dude had had like 20 chicks at the end. In the end I could say that the story was ok. But the nail in the coffin, which happens with audio, is the author didn’t select the narrators carefully. The narrators really dropped the ball and were not the best choice for this book.

Books is the best one in the series. After book one steamy encounters within the harem fall away, and the glue holding everything in the story together dissolve. They start to get boring. But still good book, at least this one!

Horrid Narration

I’ve liked most of the few book titles I have read from this author. Also the narrators have been adequate. Unfortunately for this book series, the narrator was horrible! So disappointed as he ruined what was a good series. Unfortunate.

Life as a vampire is defined by constant, seductive temptation. So far, Jack has managed to get by, thanks to the help of his childhood friend, Katie, and his loyal maid, Ryoko.
