This recording is really bad. The volume changes between chapters & some chapters are cut off in the middle of a sentence. So if you want to listen to the wizard of oz books I recommend getting another one.

One of my favorite authors

This is such a beautiful story that makes me feel such joy but at the same time it can be immensely painful. I cannot express, unlike this author I don’t have the ability to find the right words. This book is truly amazing & the narrator did a very good job reading it.

If you haven’t already it’s time to read this book

It’s an important story to read. It’s in adulthood & in USA that Miko Peled meets Palestinians for the first time even though he grows up in Jerusalem what is supposed to be a city for both people. And he does the difficult work to learn about his country & his own past & what is to become the path of activism.
When you finish this I really do recommend you read Palestinian authors & stories. For example: I saw Ramallah by Mourid Barghouti or Mornings in Jenin by Susan Abulhawa or Light in Gaza an anthology by Palestinian writers & poets.

Even though the book is soon a decade old it’s still as relevant & an important reminder to think big & how connected we all are & what difference it makes if we struggle together. It’s also amazing to listen to the book being read by Angela Davis herself.
