Poor and competing audio
Revisado: 09-16-22
With additional sounds and voices very loud and very quiet in some of the stories was quite difficult to listen to in a car and a quiet place. A few on the non-canonical stories were a bit weak. Sometimes wondered which character I was listening to as voice differences of multiple characters by one person weren’t all distinguishable at times.

These former pillars of traditional power have been replaced by networks of informed citizens who collectively wield more power over their personal lives, employers, and worlds than ever before. So how do you navigate this new landscape and come out on top? Adam Grant, Wharton organizational psychologist, went to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the epicenter of power, and sat down with thought leaders from around the world, to find out.

Revisado: 10-03-19
Had to walk further because I had to listen to it all without stopping.
Awesome performance and incredible writing. The way sonnets are beautifully written around black history and then read again alternating phrases and lines between two sonnets was incredible. While sonnets they definitely aren’t Shakespeare’s sonnets.
The readings made me feel like I was there and immersed in what was going on.
Now I have to listen to the book from which these selections were taken.

Fabulous History - Remembering things I lived through.
Revisado: 01-16-18
Loved the movie and the book is so much better. Loved hearing about the early part of the book and the work environment my mother entered as a white woman in the 40’s. Then reliving my history as a child, in the 5th grade my class of half 5th grade half 6th grade went a couple of blocks to one of the students homes and watched the first Mercury that orbited the earth. Many memories of historical events that as I child I didn’t fully understand. Integrated schools starting in Junior High as my neighborhood had no blacks to integrate into the elementary school. My High school counselor telling me in 1969 that ‘nice girls don’t major in Engineering, why don’t you major in Home Ec’. But I majored in Engineering and was classified a minority my Junior year in college. There were 3 women ahead of me when I started, but when I graduated it would be 5,000 graduates before the next female graduate - who at that time was in High School. Experiencing and dealing with sexual harassment which was a way of life until you proved yourself capable. Fantastic book.

Fascinating story
Revisado: 07-08-15
This reads like a great fiction story but it's not fiction. Captivating story of 2 deep sea wreck divers and how their lives changed and they influenced change in each other in identifying a wreck. Also a riveting review of how history isn't true at times and the international networks and intense amount of research both underwater and above to reach a conclusion on what boat is this?
