Why can’t I work somewhere awesome like this?

I’d been hoping for something different after listening to mainly fantasy type books and thankfully Beck delivered.

This is also a bit more slice of life than I’m used to, which was also a nice change.

I enjoyed the characters and the fun banter throughout the story. I’m a sucker for cat girls though so there is that.

The narrators do a great job bringing the story to life as well.

Overall a fun, quick listen, and I’ll definitely check out the next one.

Great new isekai litrpg!

I read this one when it came out, but can honestly say this one comes truly alive with the narration!

I’m a fan of litrpg, and I thought the progression and system in this one was great.

I definitely recommend this one for fans of fantasy, action, and great story telling!

Nice change up, good action, fun premise.

I grabbed the first book of this series on ebook because of the cards throughout the book. (If you haven’t checked those out, you should, they are pretty great) I kind of wish there was an accompanying pdf with the cards for the audio but I digress.

I thought this series was very well done. There are a ton of monster girls, from kitsune, fairy, kangaroo, whale shifters, cow, and even spider women. I thought it was a great mix without being overwhelming.

I liked the premise of the main character having to save the sanctuary from evil forces, along with some other turmoil.

I was a bit hesitant on the cards originally because I was never a big fan of Magic the gathering and stuff like that, but these are not used like that at all. The cards are pretty funny at times, and add some pretty cool abilities. Including the ones he gets for bonding with the monster girls.

My favorite was Sy and I’m glad she got her ball. Sorry not trying to spoil anything.

Anyway, great listen and value for my credit. I highly recommend you check it out. I enjoyed this author’s other series, Bonded Spirits, as well. The same narrators did both series and really knocked it out of the park.

Unique, refreshing take on the genre!

So, I’ve become accustomed to the same ol’ same ol’ with a lot of books in this genre, which is all fine, since I enjoy a large chunk of them.

That being said, this book was super refreshing.

Starts with a guy in his twenties helping his mom at their animal rescue, some stuff goes down and he ends up being taken to a magical sanctuary.

There he learns he is the new Caretaker (hence Caretaker’s collection) He’s responsible for the well being of this sanctuary’s residents. Most of whom are amazing monster women.

He learns that there are several magical cards that will help him grow in power/help him in his duties.

At first I thought it was going to be like a TCG like Magic or Pokémon, but it’s not at all. The cards are unique and range anywhere from a bed, to armor, and skills. I really enjoyed this aspect of the book and haven’t listened to anything like it before.

There is a witch who appears to be more than she seems and gives the main character a quest to help her out, which has its own consequences.

Without giving away too much, I’ll stop there. But if you’re curious, I’d definitely give this one a chance. The author has a funny sense of humor, there is a ton of good banter between him and the “residents”.

Also, there are a few quite steamy scenes. I thought they were well written, and added to the story. But be warned, the scenes are pretty… detailed…

All in all, can’t wait for the next one!

Epic, incredible start to a promising series!

I thought this was an incredibly well thought out story. The characters will grow on you after the first couple of chapters, and having you rooting for (and against) them throughout.

The narrator did an incredible job of bringing this one to life.

All in all great series, action, everything. Can’t wait for more!

Fun story with incredible narrator

If you haven’t listened to or read Beck’s books before you are missing out.

This one starts of with a normal dude who is grinding it out in a MMO waiting for the next expansion when his life is flipped upside down.

Without spoiling anything, he ends up in a new world where he specializes in cooking for his profession. Hilarity and hot action ensue.

Threet does an awesome job as usual and really enhances the story. In my opinion she’s right up there with Parsneau.

Definitely give this one a try. It’s super fast paced and just a good story.

Wow - what an awesome ride!

I picked this one up for a road trip and found myself staying in my car so I could keep listening.

This series follows an experienced hunter who ends up traveling to a new world which happens to be filled with all sorts of magical creatures, most of which are beautiful monster girls.

I loved the different personalities of each of the women, especially the cow girl, Chloe. She runs the tavern and just has one of those bartender personalities that makes you want to keep coming back.

Logan has his share of adventures throughout the series, saving women, bonding with them, and learning how to cultivate spirit to become stronger.

There are a few big baddies, ultimately leading up to a big showdown at the end. I think there’s a little something for everyone in this one.

The end wrapped it up nicely as well, so I felt good about it and really hope there is some way for the series to continue.

The narrators did a great job and kept me engaged the entire way through.

Need a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously and will provide you some quality entertainment? Probably should check this one out.

Fun story, fun characters, brought together by an excellent narrator in Kline. Definitely not skim milk, 100% whole milk!

What a ride!

I hadn’t read a novel by this author before but it was a very refreshing take on the genre.

The characters were fleshed out and not rushed which I definitely appreciated.

The action was good, but not over done. I’d also never listened to these narrators before, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

I can’t wait for book two!

Way better than I hoped, far exceeded my expectations

The narrators were great and really brought this one alive.

I’d been sitting on this one for a bit, because sci-fi, but I’m glad I listened, because I’m absolutely hooked.

The action picks up immediately, and the women who are introduced are the things good dreams are made of.

I’ll be checking out the next one for sure.
