I really wanted to love this one. And for the first 30%, I did! Meagan’s writing usually pulls me in, but this time it felt like we got more focus on zinger one-liners than actually moving the plot forward. It felt way longer than it needed to be, and it started to drag.
I listened to the audiobook, and the female narrator just wasn’t it. She sounded like a news anchor reading the weather during the spicy scenes, which totally threw me off.
Overall, this takes the prize for being my least favorite Meagan book… if that means anything!

Love love love
Revisado: 09-07-24
I don’t know whether to cry because it’s over or cry because I got to experience it. This series just keeps getting better! The first book? Cute. The second? Deep and heart-tingling. But this book? HENRY MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS. He’s everything good and pure in the world, and I will die on this hill.
That’s it. That’s the review. I don’t know what else I can say. I don’t know where Hannah can even go from here because this book is her masterpiece.

Historia
Blythe Hawthorne has never let anyone tell her what to do—not society, not her overprotective father, and certainly not the man she’s bound herself to, no matter how rude and insufferable he is. In fact, she’s determined to be a thorn in his side for the rest of her days, even as he ensures that her life in his palace is anything but a fairytale. But as Blythe discovers a new side of herself linked to his past, she’ll have to decide if she’s willing to let an unexpected spark ignite…and to discover the truth about who she really is.

So good
Revisado: 08-27-24
I can’t believe it’s over! This series has had a tight grip on me since I stumbled upon it a year ago. I’ll admit, I was nervous going into this one—Blythe really started to get on my nerves in Foxglove—but I’m thrilled to say this is now my favorite book in the series! It’s by far the most romantic, and honestly, I wish we had more of that in books 1 and 2.
Overall, it’s been an amazing ride, but I’m crossing all my fingers and toes hoping it’s not truly over. It might just be me, but it feels like Adalyn left a few loose ends that need tying up?! PRETTY PLEASE!

Historia
When professional—and self-taught—violinist Gwen Jackson plays, she disappears into the peaks and valleys of each song, a quiet passion that never quite explodes into pure emotion. Xander Thorne is the exact opposite. A cellist and a rock star, he’s all about big emotion, but not even his six-foot-four frame can contain his skill, his genius...and an attitude that borders on jerkitude.

A great love story
Revisado: 08-06-24
This book was super cute! I had to dock a star because the FMC was frustratingly oblivious to the MMC for way too long. Girl, he was basically a walking billboard for how attracted he was to you, and you didn’t see it? Plus, it was a bit too much how they basically moved in together immediately after finally giving in. Was the love super freaking cute? Absolutely. The romance and emotions were beautifully depicted throughout the story, and the MMC’s emotions were so vivid, even without his POV.
Overall, it was a fun and entertaining read. I listened to the audio version, and the narration was well done, too.

Historia
Sage Byrd has lived in the coastal town of Spunes, Oregon (not to be confused with Forks, Washington) her entire life. She's learned to love her small world, with the misfit animals on her hobby farm, and her friendships with the town’s inhabitants. But when her 5-year relationship ends and her ex, town-golden-boy Ian, suddenly gets engaged, Sage needs a win—something that will convince everyone to stop pitying her all the time, and to put Ian in his place. The Festival of Spunes, the town’s annual summer competition, would be the perfect opportunity. She just needs a partner.

This book was cute, comfy, and uplifting—just lovely. It’s full of the typical romance book charm, and honestly, it’s exactly what a girl needs sometimes: pure, happy, sweet romance. I listened to the audiobook, and the narration was superb and engaging. I had a great time with this one and definitely recommend it!

Historia
It doesn’t take long for ambitious freshman and aspiring engineer Jessie Ahuja to learn about two university legends. One is the haunted history of Davidson Tower, where more than fifty years ago, two ill-fated lovers disappeared in a devastating fire. The other is Ravi Kumar, a privileged billionaire nepo baby who’s aggravatingly charming and occupying more brain space than Jessie has room for. Things change when a campus prank locks them both in the old tower’s ghostly library.

Revisado: 05-06-24
Nisha Sharma is the queen of low stakes contemporary romance. This book was so cute and such a fun read. I loved the characters and experiencing another couples love story through letters as the story progressed.
The narrators were perfect for this story!

Historia
Kaya Thornton killed her best friend. On the run since the tender age of thirteen, she left the safety of her Community’s magicked walls and tried to disappear in the human world. Four years later, she’s found and dragged back kicking and screaming by Auden, her best friend’s older brother. The second Prince of the Wardwell line is antagonistic and unforgiving, but surprisingly gentle as he forces her home to face the judgement of his father and the Council. She expected hatred and bitter punishment, not private training with a hot and cold Prince and…demonology courses?

I liked this story but it felt sort of stagnant at times- I think the characters and the plot have good bones and that the next books have a lot to build on so I’m looking forward to the next book!
The narrators were phenomenal but I’ve come to expect that from Jacklyn.

Historia
All she wanted to do was live her life in peace—maybe get a cat, expand the family spice farm. Really, anything that didn't involve going on an adventure where an orc might rip her face off. But they say the Goddess has favorite, and if so, Cin is clearly not one of them... After saving the demon Fallon in a wine-drunk stupor, all Fallon wants to do is kill an evil witch enslaving his people. And, who can blame him? But he's dragging Cinnamon along for the ride. On the bright side, at least he keeps burning off his shirt.

Quick and entertaining!
Revisado: 12-31-23
I was very happy with this audible performance! I thought the story was well paced and easy to follow for a novella and was impressed with the backstory that the author added. Sometimes you loose some depth with novellas and I felt like it was still there. The narration was very well done- duet will always be top of the line for me.
