Just so funny! I needed this book!

Ok so let me start by addressing some of the criticisms. Ok I get not liking politics in everything, but let’s be honest, writes have always been political... Shakespeare, Joyce, Vonnegut and Orson Scott Card to name but a few lol. Honestly, blue or red this book is hysterical! I feel badly for anyone who stopped listening just because they didn’t agree with it’s politics (honestly it was a very small part of the book to begin with).

The situations created by the author are brilliantly funny! I could not get enough! The narrator was perfect, and voices spot on!

If you are looking for something silly, creative, compelling and distracting in this crazy day look no further! This book is what the doctor ordered!

Kind of a let down after a long wait.

I am a huge fan of the Dresden Files ! Love the books, audiobooks, graphic novels and even the short lived TV show but..... this one is not finished. After a long wait we got 2/3 of a book.

I get there was a long gap and Jim was probably under a fair amount of pressure to get something out but this was just not finished.

Great story and narration as always. But it will bum you out for sure. If had I known I would have waited for the next book and just bought them both at once.

Needs to move on

Great narrator, full characters... Slow plot and without a spoiler, there is just too much of the big picture they never deal with. Move on or stop teasing us.

Getting a bit dark

I love all of these books but I truly felt this one went much deeper emotionally. I in someways loved the new levels of depth but in other ways miss the zany fun. These books are more escape for me and the darkness was a bit off putting. Still great story, great narrator and wonderful author.

What did you love best about American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition (A Full Cast Production)?

This book from start to finish had a great mythology, back story and plot! I really feel it was darn near flawless. Give it a listen you won't regret it!

A great refresher course

If you could sum up The Modern Scholar in three words, what would they be?

I have a BA in philosophy but it has been years since I have been in a classroom. This wonderful narrative brought all the passion back to me and also brought a lot of old dusty books back off my bookcase. Give it a shot!

Where does Destiny Disrupted rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I read a great deal on the middle east and spent 8 years living in the area as well. Trust me when I say that this book fills a gap that so many other narratives have missed. If you are interested in learning about Islam from a historical perspective this book is a must!!! Trust me BUY IT!

Would you listen to Lost to the West again? Why?

Did you ever read a book that made you realize how truly ignorant you were? Sure you learned bits in pieces along the way in academia but if you were not a history major this is a must listen.
